I'm quite please to see that Seng Heng braised duck stall is still operating after the peak hours. Their ducks are always sold out when I'm there even though I consider myself early. We choose to order a set meal of 2 instead of 2 individual portions. Based on my friend's recommendation, it is better to order a set as the portion is bigger with the duck drum stick.
Set for 2 including a braised egg costs S$10.00 Flesh of the duck is succulent and rich in flavours. Perfectly braised with herbs well penetrate into the meat. Though there are some fatty meat but it somehow brought out the origins Teochew's cuisine flavour. Ordered Kway Tiao Dry and they comes with yammy gravy with chinese parsley and fried onions on the top. Soup that comes along are full of herbs flavour too and not too peppery. Served warm and complements the dried kway tiao. This additional egg was halved. Additional cost of S$1.00 if you want to add this on. Service
The man with distinct features (dark black hair and mustache) were taking order. Queues are not in the orderly manner initially but he managed to get the queue back in order.
Ambience
Young and Olds forms the queue. There was a woman who wanted to buy the drumstick portion but it was sold out. Phew! I was quite lucky!
Price
Reasonably priced and well liked by the neighborhood.
Recommendation / Tips
Be early to avoid disappointments.
