The only place where omelettes can go wrong

My bf and I was walking along the area and came across cafe rouge which happened to serve french food so my french bf naturally felt compelled to eat here. we saw the lunch set which looks pretty value for money. He had the stewed chicken lunch set which i must say is quite yummy! Very rich in taste.. however, that was the only saving's grace for the meal. He had the stewed chicken lunch set which i must say is quite yummy! Very rich in taste.. however, that was the only saving's grace for the meal. Everythng else that came with the lunch set was super small in portion--salad, bread. Coffee was very watery... I order omelettes and they were seriously oily! I think the only thing french about the omelette was that it was swimming in olive oil. It was so oily that i always felt repulsed by the second bite. I think i can do a better tasting omelette.

Desserts was good though. I usually refrain from dessert (for fear of gaining weight!) but the chocolate cake was calling out to me.. lol. I saw many other tables having desserts as well so maybe its a good idea to just do desserts there.
