This is a memorable dinning experience for me because it is the personal touch that made a difference. I was there with my partner to take away dinner. As we were there at about 4.30 pm, i asked the Auntie politely whether they still have pig's trotter. She replied yes with a smile. I was excited when i know they do sell braised pig's tail too as that particular dish is my Grandpa's favourite. I was excited when i know they do sell braised pig's tail too as that particular dish is my Grandpa's favourite. I told the Auntie i wanted to take away a $5 portion of that for my 阿公 (Grandpa in chinese). she asked, 'are you Hokkien too?' i nodded. Then we chatted further. The Auntie manned the stall with her husband and both of them should be in their late 60s or early 70s.

After She done packing the 2 dishes and i paid up, the Auntie was telling me '你慢走!' (equally to 'take care' in english). This is the good service that left an impression. I know i will be back again soon.

The braised pig's trotter was very well-braised. It has gotten a nice fragrance of good quality soya sauce and garlicky taste. The saltiness level was just right. The texture of the meat was tender and succulent though soft but not meshy. The best part of the pork's knuckle has always been the skin. It tasted almost heavenly if it has been well-cooked. I am not disappointed with the standard of cooking from this very stall.

This has been my first time ordered a braised pig's tail from a Bak Kut Teh stall. This is a not so common dish and often homecooked as it is not easily available. I tried a piece and i liked it. It was very well-cooked to give it the right texture at the right softness. It tasted very flavorful with a nice soya sauce taste. My Grandpa loved the dish as he finished the rest all by himself.

Recommended.
