I went to nanxiang with my girlfriend, we were feeling like gluttons after we left cos we ordered simply a lot of food. we ordered the drunken chicken, jelly fish with spicy vinegar, crab meat and pork filling xiao long bao, salted vegetable duck soup and their shanghai fried rice with chicken chop. Starting off with the drunken chicken, it was so good, the meat was so tender, the gravy was very tasty and fragrant. The jelly fish with spicy vinegar tasted very unique, I was not really a fan of jellyfish but this was pretty good, it was kind of sourish and the jellyfish was crunchy and chewy. The xiao long bao was excellent, the filling and soup was kind of sweetish because of the crab meat. The salted vegetable soup went really well with the rice, it had a fusion of flavours from salty to sourish to sweetish. It was really good. The best of all with the shanghai fried rice with chicken chop. The fried rice was so fragrant, I love the eggy taste. It went so well with the chicken chop, the chicken chop was very crispy and the meat was very tender and juicy. A filling meal it was.
