My only grouse was that the tarts were placed in the box back to back which I understand was to save space, but I wasn't too impressed because the arrangement meant that the icing and flakes on my chocolate tart fell off and was all over the bottom of the box.

Top Left: Roast Chicken Pastry ($1.20)
This was quite firm and flaky. The roast chicken filling was not too sweet but it tasted a little salty on first bite, although the saltiness was toned down on subsequent bites.

Bottom Right: Mushroom Chicken Pie ($1.20)
The pie was a little oily for me but it was quite savoury. There was not much mushroom or mushroom taste to it though. The filling was more towards chicken potato instead, at least for the one I got.

Wife's Delights ($1.20)
This was quite crisp and flaky and did not crumple easily. It was soft but not very chewy. This was not as sweet as some other wife biscuits I've tried elsewhere but personally, I thought that this was a tad bland.

Top Right: Fresh Soya Egg Tart ($1.40)
This was supposed to be a slightly healthier version of the traditional egg tart. The pastry was quite crispy and the soya custard was quite smooth but it was a tad too mild for my taste. Probably better off getting the Chef's or Portuguese Egg Tart.

Bottom Left: Dark Chocolate Egg Tart ($1.80)
This was my favourite out of the lot. The chocolate tart was crispy and held well together but yet crumble easily in the mouth, which I liked. The custard was very smooth and there were chocolate flakes and icing on top which added to the sweetness and chocolatey taste of the tart. I was also surprised to find chocolate sauce inside the custard, which was simply awesome!

Overall, we thought that the pastries were pretty decent. Prices were pretty reasonable as well. Between us, we liked the Roast Chicken Pastry, Mushroom Chicken Pie and the Dark Chocolate Egg Tart. I'd personally recommend the Dark Chocolate Egg Tart and will definitely be back for more!
