My niece loves the strawberry shortcake series and I found this cake so pretty it's irresistible! i especially love how the strawberries at the corners add to the colours here. I chose to have the inside of the cake as vanilla. They offer chocolate sponge too but I prefer vanilla. The vanilla sponge cake is wonderful as it's very fresh and the cream is not too overwhelming, unlike some other cake shops that can be overly generous with cream, which isn't exactly something healthy nor yummy. Apart from the vanilla sponge, they also allow me to add fillings at a cost. I chose to add longan cos I've tried another one of their cake called 'peach and longan' before, which is extremely good. So choose vanilla sponge if you're adding fruit filling. Of course, if you're going for chocolate filling such as chocolate fudge or hazelnut, then it's better with chocolate sponge.
