As recommended by one of my friend, I decided to go check out this Vietnamese restaurant along Joo Chiat Road. There are many Vietnamese restaurants opening up around Singapore but are not as authentic, so I hope Long Phung will not disappoint me. The list of menus printed does give quite a bit of Vietnamese dishes to choose from, but to try authenticity of the food I decided to choose the most significant one - the pho. I had the chicken pho, or Pho Ga in Vietnamese. Comes with chicken chunks and pho, the soup base of it tasted more to the sweeter side instead of the saltier side. I kinda enjoy the soup broth though, as least something different. The pho is smooth and cooked well and the chicken chunks have absorb the pho soup based which gives it a very fragrant taste. Portion is generous as well but speaking of authentic-ness of the place... I guess something is still lacking in the place and dish to impress me. Food wise however is reasonable and not bad tasting.
