People these days are much more sophisticated than to be satisfied with just another cake. The thing about French-inspired Japanese bakeries being so successful these days is that they manage to capture a wide food audience. Who can resist the rich and intricate flavours of French desserts coupled with the light and delicate Japanese touch. K-ki cakes are basically art for us to admire but one surely regret if they just look and not eat the cakesK-ki's Antoinette ($8) is like a white chocolat
K-ki's Antoinette ($8) is like a white chocolate and mango molten lava cake. My friend from UK likes the taste of mango so this ain't exotic to him at all. Me? I always love An. Move over chocolate molten lava cake.
The only complaint I have about K-ki is my fave Mont Blanc is forever so difficult to buy. We were told it's an hour wait to Mont Blanc so we ordered the Cafe Dumo ($8) instead. My friend was impressed by the layers of differing texture and taste in this coffee-based cake. To him, the cake scene in Singapore is much more exciting than back home. All thanks to K-Ki.
