Miam miam is a relatively new bistro opened in Bugis junction and another branch at Westgate. At first thought, i thought miam miam will be some thai food but it is actually french fused with japanese! It is a fusion of french cuisine with japanese cooking styles. And miam miam is “yum yum” in french! Before going there, have read a few reviews about it and what are some of the must try dishes. So we ordered their 3 popular dishes – Riz Au Curry ($14.80), Riz Noir Black Rice ($17.80) and Miam Mia

So we ordered their 3 popular dishes – Riz Au Curry ($14.80), Riz Noir Black Rice ($17.80) and Miam Miam Spaghetti ($15.80) Riz Au Curry is baked rice with homemade japanese curry, frankfurters, egg and broccoli. The curry is rich is flavour. At first mouth, you’ll appreciate the rich gravy of the curry and as its baked with cheese too, so there’s like bit and pieces of cheesy trails. Riz Noir Black Rice, squid ink rice with fresh succulent seafoods like calamari, prawns, scallops. & do you know, squid ink that has been infused into rice or pasta do not stain your teeth/mouth actually! Its only when during the process of cooking, they have used squid ink too, and that’s where the staining come about! But anyway, haha, Riz Noir Black Rice, gives the sea-salt taste. The moist rice pair well with the fluffy omelette as the rice is quite strong in the seafood taste, so it good to pair it with something light like the egg. Their Miam Miam spaghetti which is also their specialty, is served with a variety of ingredients like spinach, frankfurters, bacon, egg, eggplant and tomatoes. The staff told us to mixed the egg with the spaghetti before eating to have a better overall taste of the dish. The spaghetti is smoother and overall taste is alright but probably a lil salty. Overall dining experience is good, staffs there are friendly, price are generally still acceptable for mains but we find it a lil too pricy for the desserts.
