I have been visiting this stall since I was a kid. My mom told me they used to be a roadside cart and upgraded to a stall in "xin pa sat", and eventually found their way to a hidden corner in Chinatown Hawker Centre. Hidden gem with history. The couple in the stall was courteous, if quiet. They deftly make the ah-ballings upon order. The only available soup base is pandan, which is mildly sweet. The couple in the stall was courteous, if quiet. They deftly make the ah-ballings upon order. The only available soup base is pandan, which is mildly sweet. My favorite fillings were yam and black sesame. The ah balling skin is chewy and thin. Be careful when biting it open, the filling is hot!
