I'm really picky when it comes to ramen because I find that most soup bases are too thick for my liking hence it gets jelat very quickly for me. That's why I like Tampopo's pork & seafood soup base. I find that the seafood helps to lighten the taste hence I don't get sick of the soup. I actually drank most of it whereas at other restaurants I usually find that I've to force myself to finish the food because of how jelat they make me feel. The ramen was also good - springy and didn't taste starch

The ramen was also good - springy and didn't taste starchy. I also added an egg (not shown in the pic) and they seem to be consistent in churning out yummy Japanese ramen eggs! The egg was well marinated and the yolk was the perfect semi-solid golden orange.

Honestly I can't taste the difference between normal pig and black pig haha, but anyhow the gyozas were pretty good! I thought it looked a little small but it turned out to be ok. The filling was nice and juicy and the skin was thin so it didn't taste super starchy. However I would have preferred if the base was pan-fried till it's crispier.
