cheesey bread
Qbread
2012-04-22
The sugar and the cheese compliment perfectly and give the bread an enriched taste. This would definitely make a good budget breakfast, delicious and filling, with six in a pack, yet cheap. It is advisable to finish up on the day itself to maintain the freshness and such that the sugar do not just dissolve/melt.…Read More

This japanese green tea cold noodles also known as soba does not taste especially delicious. I would say it is average and I have higher expectations of it, thus I am slightly disappointed after tasting their soba. The noodle is springy but there isnt much green tea taste, instead it is bland. The sauce that goes with the noodle did help add some point but I guess it is not worth the price.…Read More

Popiah
Qiji
2012-04-22
The fillings in the popiah is a lot and it is not too damp such that the popiah skin become soggy. The skin is also not too thick. The fillings contain some crispy bits which it make it slightly crunchy when eating the popiah. Ask for less chilli as it could get a little too spicy and you will end up having to gulp down some amount of water.…Read More

Waffley ice cream
Gelare Café
2012-04-21
Its never enough to have only one scoop of its ice cream on the soft yet crispy waffle drenched with some maple syrup. The large variety of ice cream its offer make you not know what to get as every flavour seems delicious. Although it can be a little pricey, but this is something that you should pamper yourself with once in a while to reward yourself!…Read More

Yogurty yoyo
Red Mango
2012-04-21
A healthy choice and it makes a great dessert after meal. This yogurt museli is only five dollar and you can choose the flavour of the yogurt. On top of that, you get to choose 3 toppings. This is definitely more worth it than just having its regular yogurt. I chose peach, cranberry and the colourful cornflakes to go with the passionfruit flavoured yogurt. It is definitely a great indulgence.…Read More

Comforting dessert
Emicakes
2012-04-21
This is definitely a dessert that will lift up your mood even if it is a gloomy day for you. Not only does the dessert look pretty and appealing, its taste also match up to its appearance. This oreomisu dessert is one of the hot favourite in the shop and it indeed deserved that honour. The cake is very soft and there is cheese but yet it does not get too creamy and make you sick of it. It taste even better when it is chilled. There are also a large variety of dessert to choose from in the shop so will definitely go back there again to try the other flavour.…Read More

Beancurd love
Lao Ban Soya Beancurd
2012-04-21
This stall offer chilled beancurd which comes in 2 flavour, one being original and the other being almond. Personally, I preferred the almond flavoured to the orginal as I found it to be sweeter and have a stronger taste. Nonetheless the original flavoured is also good if you dislike almond. The beancurd is especially smooth like pudding and it can slide down your throat. There is always long queue for the beancurd and its supply run out fast. There are stocks at 8am and 4pm so it is advisable to queue early.…Read More

Pancakes
Pancake

Their pancakes are soft and fluffy, it is most delicious when it is readily made and served warm. This is especially so when the crust at the side is crispy. I like the red bean flavoured pancakes, the filling is a lot and not too sweet. The pancakes do not stick to your teeth too.…Read More

Chinese doughnut (hum jin peng)
You Zha Kuah
2011-12-29
Their hum jin peng is rather unique as they have the flavour where the filling is green bean paste. This is less commonly seen but theirs is really delicous. The filling in the hum jing peng is a lot but not too sweet. In addition, there are some black sesame on the exterior which make it more fragrant. It is not too oily too, so one does not have to worry that much about being unhealthy. Also, it is rather cheap, only 70 cents for one.…Read More

Fragrant chicken rice
Tiong Bahru Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice
2011-12-29
The chicken given were that of the breast meat which make it a bit stiff and hard to bite but it is good in a another perspective that the meat is not oily and fat, Nonetheless, I would give credit to its rice and chili sauce. Their rice was relatively fragrant and their chili sauce was well made, thus these two item would make up for the less favourable chicken meat.…Read More

I love their lotus seed dessert as they are generous with their servings and the lotus seeds are nicely prepared, soft and great to chew on. The soup is not too sweet and not too sticky, thus you will not get sick of it. This is best taken when it is served warm.…Read More

Laksa
Tong Shi Mian Ji
2011-12-27
The gravy was rather rich but it is not too spicy so it will be suitable for those who do not take very spicy stuff. Their laksa come in 2 prices,$ 2.50 and $3, the serving given is quite generous and could fill one stomach. They uses fresh coconut milk so the gravy is more fragrant. The noodle is cooked just nice too. …Read More

Wonton Noodles
Pontian Wanton Noodles
2011-12-27
The noodles did not turn soggy even when you order takeaway, the noodles remain springy and still have its moisture rather than turning dry. I find pontian noodles to be unique because of the texture and taste of the noodles. I especially loved their noodles and I will definitely add black sauce and chili to my noodles. Also, there is both fried wonton and boiled wonton which allow one to try the wonton cooked in different methods.…Read More

Waffle delights
PrimaDeli
2011-12-27
The waffle was soft and fluffy. Also, it has a rich pandan taste which make the waffle even more fragrant. I would always buy the plain waffle and sometime spread it with jam or even ice cream on my own at home. Nonetheless, the waffle taste nice even if you do not spread it with stuffs. It would be better if the exterior crust is more crispy. This definitely make a great choice if you are craving for some snack. However, I find it slightly expensive as a plain waffle now cost $1.30 compared to previous which cost only like about $1.…Read More

Cheesy baked rice
PastaMania
2011-12-27
The service is quite great as the food was served rather quickly. The baked rice is average, I got sick of it after eating three quarters of it, most probably due to the cheese. The rice given is quite a lot but there are only a few dory fish that come with the rice. The tomato sauce does not really complement well with the fish too. Overall, the baked rice wasn't that bad but only average.…Read More
