xiao long bao
Din Tai Fung
2013-03-16
Din Tai Fung is famous for its xiao long bao and some tim sums!i love their prawn omelet. it taste full of prawns every bite.their dumplings in spicy oil is another must try, but i love it with more chili!finally their xiao long bao! it is one of their awesome creation. they have different xiao long bao available from the traditional ones to the creative ones. however their service for this particular outlet is not that fantastic. we went in during tea time and it wasn't crowded. however the tea was served cold. when we requested for hot ones, the waitress simply told us to wait and she asked another waitress if it is true that we were served cold tea. so she merely wanted to top up to warm tea instead of changing to hot ones until we insisted on it. …Read More

Mei Heong Yuen Dessert
2013-03-16
a small shop at B4. the shop could only be seated with approx 15 customers. their ice desserts are the most well-known. well known for their soft and dedicated ice flakes that makes one feel like eating snow. one of their famous one would be chendol ice topped with assorted toppings. i love the fact that the gula melaka is added at your own time own target. in other words, you determine how sweet you want for your dessert!their 3 coloured cake consist of carrot cake, yam cake and pumpkin cake. …Read More

laksa all the way
Laksania
2013-03-16
This is their pretty famous side dishes to try out. Laksa satay, made of chicken and the sauce goes really well with the chicken. it is best to eat it when it is hot! One of their top product, Singapore Laksa. They have different laksa available to try, like hotpot laksa, laksa spaghetti, and other types of laksa that one can think of. basically laksa lovers would love this place. i prefer their singapore laksa. they have thick gravy and i think they do put enough ingredients to cook this! Most importantly, this is a social enterprise which makes eating here a more rewarding experience!…Read More

awesome eggtarts
Tong Heng Traditional Cantonese Pastries
2013-03-16
Their egg tarts are the oh-so-famous ones. i can't seems to leave the store without at least 2 boxes of egg tarts for my family. Prices had increased insignificantly over the years, but it is still worth it.this is their coconut egg tart, my number one top choice. the crust is crispy and the egg and coconut slices blend so wel together that whenever i think of them, i salivate! this is their normal egg tart which is awesome too but i still prefer the coconut flavoured egg tart…Read More

a date for meet ups
The Manhattan FISH MARKET
2013-03-16
it is a place great for meet up because it is big and there are awesome platters to share with friends. i ordered the seafood platter for 2. it is more worthwhile as compared to those of single servings, so bring a friend along! Since their platter has more serving than just fish and chips. as shown in the picture, if one just ordered fish and chips, there will not be seafood available. the food was alright but the condiments were the one that added more flavoring.…Read More

Udders & Kook
2013-03-16
Located conveniently at siglap, there is limited parking available.Ice-creams are loves! especially Udders. Awesomely Chocolate is a must try for chocolate lovers! it taste so rich yet it does not makes you feel sick of chocolates! i tried D24 Durian which is pretty good. the durian flavor is one of the best durian flavored ice-cream that i had tried. unlike some others that use flavoring.there are many other flavours which they have and some of them consist alcohol. …Read More

lao ban tao huay
Lao Ban Soya Beancurd
2013-02-28
the craze of lao ban tempt me to try it. they are opening more and more stores or franchise. having seen so many photos of lao ban, i am trying it now.i tried the normal one and it is really smooth and it really melts inside my mouth. the normal one is $1.50 and the almond one is $2. for me personally, i prefer hot beancurd hence lao ban is not really to my liking as it is served only chilled. …Read More

tako balls!
Tsukiji Gindaco
2013-02-28
the authentic tako balls from Japan. they are probably the best tako balls sold in singapore. they do maintain their quality, for instance if the tako balls are left too long at the hot plate. they throw them away and make new ones for the customers. they offer different types of toppings for those who love a new taste of tako. i prefer the original one though. perfect for tea or dessert! …Read More

my first time with sogurt
Sogurt
2013-02-28
a brand new concert of yogurt stores in singapore. unlike those normal yogurt stores that one frequent, this is a total different thing. it is like you pay for how much you take. in other words, one could have a free choice on the amount of yogurt and toppings, one would like. they have a variety of yogurts to choose from, the chocolate, strawberry, green apple, plain and etc. the one chosen was strawberry with toppings of strawberry, dark and white chocolates, peanut bits. the down-side of the concept is that one tends to over take toppings and yogurt. this cup of yogurt cost around $5.…Read More

water chestnut cake is normal because it's not their speciality. it feels like just pudding with bits of water chestnut. not something i would recommend.chendol was really awesome.i love their ice product. their ice is so soft that it really taste like snow! not something that one can miss when visiting their stores! walnut paste was normal as well. it was serve warm and not too much for my liking. i prefer it hot so when it was served, it was more to the room temperature.…Read More

located near the entrance, it is easy to spot. they sell both dim sum, noodles, rice and sides. However, they do not have a wide variety to choose from. i tried out their beef brisket kuay teow and it was rich in terms of gravy and i feel that they do put in quite abit of beef. it is unlike those stores or restaurants that just place a few pieces of beef. they places in beef tenderloins and beef. i tried out their assorted porridge as well. they offer quite a variety of porridge. in this porridge, it contains scallops, fish and the condiments seen in the picture. it's more of those cantonese porridge which is sticky and to my liking!!this is their prawn beancurd roll which is really crispy.…Read More

the rotisserie
The Rotisserie - Chicken & Gourmet Salads
2013-02-28
located at buona vista, it's really convenient by car or mrt. they have seats for indoors and outdoors.we ordered quarter chicken with fries. it's really tender and there is a choice of thighs or breast meat. it's priced at $11.50this is bacon with potato quiche with sides. Just the quiche alone would be $7 and any additional side will be $3. they don't really have loads of sides to choose from and among all 4 sides that they offered, i kind of like this better.we have half of pork knuckle with veggies. one could choose up to 3 veggie to go along. not exactly fantastic for the sides …Read More

my awesome seafood platter
Le Petit Cancale
2013-02-28
Heard so much about the freshness of the seafood there so i decided to head down. It's located at duxton hill and it's relative easy to find and there is a public car park for those who are driving. Along that stretch of restaurants, they have those for drinking as well.I ordered a bottle of white wine to complement my seafood platterThis is the seafood platter that they have and it serve 2 person. it is $90++ the seafood was really awesome and fresh, i would love to go again! This is one of their oyster and the freshness is really good that you can taste the sea waterI simply love their brittany crab, the roe was plentiful and i had never seen a crab with so much roe and definitely fresh too. This is their sorbet for dessert!…Read More
