I love to try different types of food and I seldom eat the same food too often as I believe one can never finish trying all the nice food in the world. I also love to take food photography and is an aspiring food blogger.

Yummi yogurt
Yami Yogurt
2011-07-29
Yami yogurt is so far the most affordable yogurt I have found, compared to it's other competitors which i am not going to name. I mean, how different can yogurt taste?I only love frozen yogurt, because it taste like ice cream too, jsut a little bit sour. Original and peach flavoured frozen yogurts are great choices, but most of my friends chose peach. I vote for peach too.If you are into varied taste, then add crunchy stuffs as our toppings as it will give you a different taste to your dessert. I usually choose nuts, but I prefer to go for raisin this time round as I am fanatic about rum and raisin recently.I will definitely try yami yogurt again as it is very value for money. If you are sharing with a friend, it is more worth it too.…Read More

Great beef noodles @ Queensway
China Square
2011-07-29
This food centre has been renovated and it's my first time visiting the brand new food centre. I have heard about the good food and the famous fruits stall.I found this beef noodles stall and the price looks inviting for me to try. It ranges from $3.50 to max $5 for a bowl. I always eat my beef noodles dry, and have it with soup on the other bowl . The trick to eating this is to top ur noodles with chilli, even if u cannot take chilli, u shld add a little to enhance the taste. For me, i put alot of chilli. The beef is very tender and it's one of the best ive ever tried.Soup taste good too and I almost finished them all. Only reason why i dint finish is the fear of MSG in it.…Read More

Birthday celebration at Shokudo
Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar
2011-07-19
Shokudo is really expensive, but only some of the food is worth the money. I think everything except the desserts are worth the money. I am a big fan of japanese desserts, epecially red bean and greentea. But this one really disappoints me. In fact, i shared it with other 2 person, but we never finsihed it. One bowl like this cost close $10 before gst and service tax. The green tea they used is in syrup form and i think that day, the auntie really put abit too much green tea syrup inside and the taste is too sweet and overpowering for my liking.Omu rice is a must try. I shared a dish with a friend and because the fish comes in huge portion, so we shared, and ordered an additional omu rice for just $2. The omelette is with additional $2 which i refuse to pay. The chef end up giving the egg to me for free. So it's very worth it for me.Good to hangout with friends..…Read More

Hyang-To-Gol at Amara Hotel
Hyang To Gol Korean Restaurant
2011-07-19
I got a korean friend to introduce to me an authentic korean restaurant.Service is good and the food taste marvelous!First time I am served with so so many small dishes for starters. It was even too much for me and my friend to finish them. In fact, alot of them are half eaten or barely eaten at all. Their kimchi is abit too sour for me to bear, but my korean friend love it.I ordered the ox tail soup, recommeneded by my friend, who is a soup lover. She told me that this soup is favourited by korean women because it is said to be good to maintain beauty. And it really taste good! Very smooth soup and sweet, but the taste is not very strong. Abit towards bland, but it's perfect for those who wants a simple healthy soup.Must try!…Read More

Cafe cartel at BP
The Café Cartel
2011-07-19
Cafe cartel usually has alot of set lunch and dinner or credit card promotions which i like. For students like me, it is worth the money to go have a meal with friends, especially you would also want a place to chill after your meals. Cakes are also on discount after 9pm, which will cost you around $2-$3 only per slice.I like the soup of the day, the taste is always just nice. The main course - pork rib - is a super big portion. I cannot finish it. Fries are left half eaten and the meat is left with 20%. But the taste is good. Very value for money.Highly recommended for students, and people who is going out with a big group of people. But not recommended for people who wants to go for fine dining.…Read More

Fine dining at the Jewel Box
Empress Jade
2011-07-19
Sky dining at the Jewel Box was quite an experience. Food is super expensive but what you are paying for is more of the experience - Eating while looking from above the sky and viewing the cable cars outside the window.Comes in 3 course - Starter which is just mushroom soup, Main course which is the beef or fish of your choice, and the dessert is tiramisu which I think is the best out of all.Beef was not fantastic at all - Only 3 small pieces of meat and my friends claims that it tasted like it just came out of a can. But it is kinda tender and the taste is alright. Would be better if it taste less like a can food.Tiramisu is nice, was served in a wine glass. But i did not finish all because it has more cream then the actual cake itself.Overall experience is good, but far too expensive.…Read More

Nice desserts at MOF
MOF @ My Izakaya
2011-07-19
This is my first time trying MOF. I have always wanted to try their desserts cos their images always look so so good. For the main course, I tried their beef curry out of curiosity. But I shared it with a friend because one dish like this already cost $18+, too much for one person to pay for it. I thought the portion would be alot for the price like this, but no. The portion is so little and the curry gravy is too little to eat it with rice. It seems more like for people to eat for fun.For dessert, I had their famous red bean with rice dumpling. I topped it up with nuts, because it is only with an additional cost of only 40cents.Red bean, again, is very little. Not enough to share it with friend. Rice dumpling is surprisingly nice to chew. Very springy.Overall. Food is alright, but portion is too little. A little bit pricey.…Read More

Good cheesecake at cottage pies
Cottage Pies Cafe
2011-07-19
This is the first time I tried cottage pie. I have heard about it, about how nice it is, and I thought I should try it too.I fancy cheesecake, and i think this cheesecake is alright. I like it that it is not too damp and the cheesey taste is not so strong. I like the fluffyness of the cake as well, but I dont love it either. Perhaps it's the taste and perhaps it's because I did not eat it while it is cold. I ate it at room temperature.I dont like the strawberry jam on top though. I scrap it all away. But it's not too bad because it is not very sweet. It's just my personal preference that I dont not like jam.Overall is not too bad. But i highly recommend to eat it while it's chilled. The taste will be different.…Read More

Quality sushi at sakae sushi
Sakae Sushi
2011-07-14
On mother's day, I brought my family to sakae sushi to eat because my mum likes to eat sushi, but didnt get to eat that often. We chose to go ala carte because I think it is more worth the money than the buffet. We can order red plates and even noodles, whereas buffet is mainly restricted to the basic sushi and those on the conveyor belt. The colours of the plates are nice for photography and I like the idea of stacking the plates. It is a fun experience with your family and friends. I had fun eating and snappning photos as I like the presentation of the food as well. My favourite is the chawamushi. I had 2 to 3 cups of them I remembered. It was served in a nice cup and it is always warm, never cold. Love the taste and the ingredients inside. They have a few flavours, but all of them are nice..Will go back there again!…Read More

Spuddies- not veyr nice fries
Spuddies
2011-07-14
This is probably the worse fries I have ever tasted. Even a McDonald's fries that is delivered to your house cold taste better than this.I decided to try this fries when it was having a promotion. One classic fries (with toppings) + drink = $3. I was planning to go somewhere to buy other fries for around $2 but I decided to try this out since it was havin a promotion. But it was so bad. I chose cheese as my topping and I saw her pouring quite abit onto my fries. But when i tried it, i couldnt seem to taste the cheese at all. ALl the cheese seems to be either diluted, but it is being absorbed into the fries. Despite eating it straight after I have bought it, it is too soggy. I love soggy fries, but this is simply too wet to be called french fries. I did not finish my fries and I threw it away. The ice tea has a bit of bitterness to it too, despite the sugar. I have no idea why.I might not eat this again.…Read More

Sour sally the best yogurt
Sour Sally
2011-07-14
This is the first time that I have tried a chocolate flavoured frozen yogurt. I have tried original and peach before, but this chocolate is indeed special. Very strong chocolate taste and my friend even mentioned that it taste more like ice cream than yogurt. The sourness of the yogurt helps to empathasize on the sweetness of the chocolate. Great combination.I love strawberries, but i love it more when it is complemented by chocolate. Usually i will eat it with chocolate ice cream, but im surprised it works well even with chocolate yogurt. However, my friend complained that the combination is abit sour, but I like it this way. I guess it boils down to personal preference at the end of the day. But the plain frozen yogurt is great by itself!…Read More

Pepper lunch in food court
Pepper Lunch Express - Takashimaya Food Village
2011-07-14
Not much difference between the pepper lunch stand alone store and the pepper lunch express. The biggest difference is probably the ambience. In this outlet, it is at Takashimaya food court. Crowded with people at all times, it is not a very good place if you would like to eat and hang out chit chat with your friends. You might just want to finish your food and go because it is simply too crowded and can get a little noisy during peak hours. Clean? It's only alright. I have seen cleaners merely wiped the trays and sometimes plates before stacking them up straight away. No washing is done.So this is a place to just satisfy your hunger. But quality wise, it is not compromised.…Read More

Good steak at low price
Republic Of Steak
2011-05-31
Republic of steak is probably the place that sell the cheapest steak with rather good standard of quality food. You could have a meal of steak with just less than $10. Their service is good, and has nice side dish that goes with it. I ordered fish instead, as I wanted to try something different from steak. To add on to the healthy meal, i order vegetables as my side dish and it's good. It is not a superly good food, but it is sure value for money. I would certainly try it again someday.…Read More

Marche
Marché
2011-05-31
Marche is one of my favourite hangout place since 10years ago. i used to patronize the outlet at Heeren, but they do not have it there anymore.I love crepes the most but my friend recommended this (see photo) to me that day. I forgot what it is called, but it's potato cut into strips and fry, topped with sour and cream sauce. I added the salmon and also the egg too. It was so good but portion is huge, so share it with someone when you buy it.Next time i am going there, i am going to try the bakery they when you just entered marche.…Read More

Men-ichi
Men-Ichi
2011-05-31
It was only after my meal at Men-ichi that i realise that it is a group under ichiban-sushi. No wonder the quality of the food is good, comparable to that of ichiban sushi.I had a sashimi and also a bowl of ramen. It tastes good, and I especially love the egg. It has a special egg yolk that some ramen places dont have. It's soft and i could use the word 'molten' to describe it.Sashimi is good, looks nice and fresh. But i went home and i got stomachache. Not sure if it's the sashimi, but i suspected so. However the case, overall experience is good, including the sashimi.…Read More
