Ingredients to marinate the Spare Ribs: (Marinate and set aside for at least 30 mins) 1) Spare Ribs - About 10 pieces. 2) 1 tsp Salt 3) 1 tbsp Corn Starch 4) 1 Egg 5) 1 tsp Sesame Oil 6) 1 tbsp Hua Tiao Jiu 7) a dash of pepper
Ingredients to make the sauce: (Mix them together) 1) 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce 2) 1 tbsp Plum Sauce 3) 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce (Bought from NTUC. Can also be found in Cold Storage. This is Lea & Perrins. There is also Heinz brand.) 4) 1 tbsp Soy Sauce 5) 3 tbsp brown sugar (can subsitute with normal fine sugar) 6) 1 1/2 tbsp water
Other Ingredients: 1) 1-2 cloves Garlic (Chopped) 2) Corn Starch (for coating) 3) Spring Onions
Method
1) Lightly coat marinated spareribs with corn starch and deep-fry till crispy and golden brown. 2) Drain oil and set aside 3) Fry garlic with 1 tbsp of oil till fragrant 4) Add sauce and let it cook well 5) Line spareribs on the sauce and close the pan tight for about half a min or less 6) Flip the pan over for another half a min or less and flip back. 7) Open the pan and ensure the spareribs has been coated with the sauce thoroughly. 8) Add spring onions. 9) Dish and serve WARM!
