Here's another recipe version of your favourite Roasted Pork!
Ingredient and Portion
1.5 kg pork belly
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Five Spice Powder
1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
1/2 tsp Pepper
1. Boil about 2 litres of water with 1 tsp salt. When water boils, put in whole piece of meat. Cook for about 15 minutes.
2. Remove from water & drain it for at least 15 minutes.
3. Using a sharp pricker, poke as many holes on the skin as possible.
4. Marinate with five spice powder, coriander powder and pepper.
5. Keep in a container and store in fridge overnight.
6. To prepare to cook, put 1-2 tsp oil into pan. Turn on medium fire.
7. Put meat into pan with skin downwards.
8. Cover pan and cook for 10 minutes, rotating every corners of pan to fire. Open cover slightly to let moisture out & cook for another 5 minutes.
9. Cover & flip pan to cook for another 10 minutes.
10. Using a tong, hold pork belly up to stand sideways to fry the sides for 2 -3 minutes each.
11. Put on kitchen towels to drain out the oil. Cool slightly, cut & serve!
