Wanted to meet up with my former teacher & didnt knw where to go for lunch & catch up with each other. She asked whether i was okay with American western food & suggested going to Blooie's at the Rail Mall (Upper Bukit Timah) for lunch. When i saw the menu, my 1st thought was 'omg, it's quite ex!'. After eating though, i don't mind as much as before as the food was really nice, especially the deep fried button mushrooms ($13.30)! The juice from the mushrooms literally burst out into your mouth on the first bite! It's nothing like I ever ate & i'm been trying hard to replicate it at home, but to no avail (it doesn't turn out that juicy). For mains, ordered a bacon carbonara for myself, while my teacher had a medium rare steak. Both were just as good, a really satisfying lunch indeed! Will surely come back for my mushrooms soon!
