It has been a long time since I met my classmates, so we decided to meet up and have dinner together. As we all stay near Woodlands, we decided to go down to either Causeway Point or Civic Centre to have dinner. It was dinnertime, a peak period for restaurants, so there were long queues everywhere. We decided to go over to Civic Centre to see if there was any places which was less crowded so we didnt have to wait very long.Jack's Place was the only place we could find that didnt have a queue, s
Jack's Place was the only place we could find that didnt have a queue, so we went & requested for a table for 2. The prices there was considered high for western food in heartland malls, so it could be considered fine dining?
My fren ordered the prawn and chicken spaghetti ($14) while i ordered the baked rice with chicken & slipper lobster ($13.50). The food took a while to arrive so we used the time to catch-up with each other. There was also a basket of garlic bread (3slices) which was provided. I ate a slice while my fren didnt as she didnt liked garlic bread. The garlic bread was not crunchy as I tot it would be, & it was actually quite hard (i didnt really liked it).
My fren wasnt able to finish her spaghetti as she had dinner before she met me, while I loved the chicken and slipper lobster baked rice. The amount of cheese was just nice to my liking & there was plentiful of chicken in the rice.
Do try to take the MRT to Woodlands Station if possible. The carparks for both Causeway Point & Civic Centre are alwys full during peak hours.
