I believed that there is at least a stall selling fishball noodles in every hawker centre and food centre. Most of them have the similar 'factory-made' taste. Like a franchised chain, same recipe. But this store was different. It stated that their fishballs were homemade. A gimmick? I don't think so. Taste it and you'll know the difference. The homemade type of fishball is softer yet bouncy (嫩又滑). Made entirely of fish meat, no flour added that's why sometimes it's a little fishy. It's slightly salty as salt is needed to bind the fish meat together. I would say that the fishballs from this stall tasted like that.
The fish dumplings might be homemade too, they were different from those selling at the supermarkets. They were bigger.
I ordered a bowl of fishballs and fish dumplings soup, $3 for 5 fishballs and 4 dumplings. I added some chilli padis into the soup to give it a spicy taste. Really nice.
