For starters, we had the salmon salad set($5.90) which comprises raw salmon marinated with pepper, garnishes, served with mustard sauce and lettuce. The salmon meat was not the freshest I have tasted compared to those served as high end Japanese restaurants but none the less was decent enough for its pricing.

The highlight as per usual is the 10pc swedish meatball set ($5.40) served with potatoes and their delightful sauce. The meatballs tasted flavourful with a good springy chew for the diner to enjoy. It was so good that we got another 10pc meatball set right after as we felt that the serving was not enough. In hindsight, we should have gotten their 20pc meatball set ($9.50) which is a new serving size on their menu. That would have saved us some $1.30 which we would use to buy 2 of Ikea's Ice cream at their snacks shop.

To finish off, we enjoyed their fried chicken wings. It was not finger licking good but the cafe served good chicken wings which were fried well enough for the meat to be cooked thoroughly. Taste was nothing extraordinary but it was savoury enough for my girlfriend to finish off the skin of the chicken wings.

Im slightly disappointed that they were not serving their poached salmon set which I dearly miss. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our dining experience at the Ikea cafe overall. We had a seat near their windows which made the dining experience more pleasant. The cafe was surprisingly packed on a Tuesday afternoon but this could be due to the holiday season. The cafe has expanded its capacity considerably and the cafe has efficient staffs who cleared up the tables promptly even though diners are supposed to return the food trays themselves. Nothing better than enjoying great food after doing a thorough shopping through their furniture catalogue.
