First impression of this restaurant: Cosy setting, comfy seats!
Second impression: Amazing food that got me fastened to my seat!

Deep Fried Garlic Pork Ribs ($12): Crispy pork ribs flavoured with garlic pieces. I love this dish but even though I had chewed right to the bone, there's just too little meat! Perhaps that's what ribs are all about.

Salt-baked Chicken (half) ($10): Look at the chicken glistening under the lighting! Smooth skin and smooth meat! Eat it on its own (it's salty enough) or dip into the specialty sauce.

Stewed Frog Legs with Chestnut in Claypot ($14): Chewy frog legs with sweet chestnuts make this a good accompanying dish with rice!

Prawns with Broccoli ($14): Though there are succulent prawns, this dish is dry and the broccoli pieces were just steamed in water. It seems over-priced as the frog legs definitely taste better.

Steamed Red Garoupa Chaozhou Style (Sliced) ($14): Tender and plump fish slices swimming in a savoury broth. Fresh and yummy!

Mango Sago ($7.80): Pleasantly sweet puree with fresh mango cubes. We soon finish the whole bowl and secretly wished we didn't have to share.

Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls in Ginger Broth (3 pieces for $2.90): I'm still not used to ginger broth so did not quite enjoy the dish. Also, the rice balls were not springy enough, though the black sesame was okay.

Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls served with Peanut Crumbs (Dry) (3 pieces for $2.90): The peanuts could be a little finer, retaining the crunch but making the taste better.

Mini Flaky Red Bean Paste Mooncake (3 pieces for $4.20): We went there during the mooncake season so ordered this flavour as the orh nee flavour was sold out. Nonetheless, this warm dish has a yummy flaky texture that is sweetened by the red bean paste. A delightful festive snack!

Reasonable prices for their tasty food and lovely environment. Go for more daring choices instead of plain ones. I'll be back to try their dim sum and buffet! But now, I wish they will open more outlets so that it is more convenient to visit there!

Note: Ala carte buffet prices have been raised (~$34.90++). The prices stated on the website had long been outdated, and management has not taken it down despite reminders from customers.
