For this month of May, Jack's Place features a variety of New Zealand fare. I had never tasted New Zealand food before, so my curiosity pique me to try them.For starter, i ordered a 'Crab Canelloni', garnished with gourmet lettuce, sea salt and hazelnut. I was pleasantly surprised that the canelloni wrap actually honey dew. The combination of fresh mayo crab meat rolled in sweet juicy honey dew was really refreshing and scrumptious! For my main course, i ordered a 'Pacific Fish Roll'. It consist of dory fish wrapped with chicken mousse, served with mash potato and seasonal vegetables. It was a rather bland dish and the minimal strawberry sauce given doesn't help save the dish. I had to use lots of tomato sauce to finish off the dish. Overall, there is hits and misses but I am glad to have a taste of New Zealand!
