As i was exploring the newly opened shopping mall at Jurong East, something smelling very delicious drawn me to Johan Paris.

Johan Paris is actually a bakery from Japan and has made their first tribute in SIngapore at Westmall. As I was approaching the bakery, I also saw some mini canele baking in the oven. From what I understand from the staff, the mini croissant and the mini canele do contain a very small amount of alcohol in the ingredients used.

As i just had my dinner elsewhere, I have only bought some mini canele (100g for $3.50) to try. The mini canele was not too sweet and the crust was slightly chewy. On top of that, as it's rather bite size, you can just pop the whole canele into your mouth. In the middle, there is a custard like filling and it contains a tinge of rum in it.
