Ordered a plate of fried kway teow to share with my friend. Waited for quite awhile as the business seems to be not bad. When I finally received my order, I can small the sweet savory small coming from the plate of goodness in front of me. However, the taste is okay when I finally get to try it. Nothing special about it though as it tasted normal, with good amount of sweet black sauce frying together with the kway teow mee. Portion is alright too for one pax. Overall nothing much to shout about.

Fried Kway Teow . Fried Prawn Mee . Fried Oyster . Carrot CakeMaxwell MarketTanjong Pagar / Chinatown, SingaporeSeptember 2012This stall is known more by the products it sells - Fried Kway Teow, Fried Prawn Mee, Fried Oyster, Carrot Cake - than by its name. Merlion Wayfarer ordered a Fried Kway Teow and expected ordinary fare. But what she got was a fragrant plate of noodles - cooked just right, with ample cockles, fried black and sweet. Perfect!

There are many good food in Maxwell Food Centre and of which, Fried Kway Teow, Fried Prawn Mee, Fried Oyster, Carrot Cake is one of my favourites. I like the fried oyster which costs only $4. The oyster serving is generous and taste really good. The egg is well fried at the right temperature to enhance its crispiness.
