I wanted to have a dim sum breakfast but when I woke up, it was already lunch time. By the time i made my way to Kopitiam, there was not much choices of dim sum left so i settled for the lotus leaf wrapped glutinous rice. it was really good. the gravy from the filling seep out into the glutinous rice making it taste really tasty. the soft and chewy glutinous rice was such a joy to eat. the filling is also really very tasty. it was very filling. continue reading

I stopped by the kopitiam to pick up a Pau, since Im a great fan of Paus and all kind of Dim sums. They had some chicken & pork paus, so I asked for pork. The Pau was soft, hot, spongy & had a yummy spicy pork & egg filling. It was a big pau hence it was quite filling. I enjoyed the pau with a cup of black coffee. Yummy all the way & healthy too. The ambiance of the place was more like a hawker center, crowded with people, but I'll go anywhere just to have some Paus . The pau costed about 1.3 $ & the coffee about 1.2$ continue reading

I was feeling very hungry so I decided to add some dim sum to my meal. After looking around for a while, I settled for their lotus wrapped glutinous rice. When I opened the box, it was very fragrant. The rice is very soft and sticky. the auntie heated it up until it is very warm. They are very generous with the meat inside, the meat is very juicy and tender. The gravy inside is very tasty and some of it seep out onto the glutinous rice making it very tasty. The portion is also very large, makes it very value for money. continue reading

Order a basket of Siew Mai for Tea at Yew Tee Kopitiam. Looking at the Siew Mai, you will know that it is mass produced and the taste is definitely not up to standard. Just as expected, it tasted normal and it cost me $1.80. The skin gets harden after awhile, so word of advice is to eat while it is hot. There is not a single prawn in the siew mai and just all pork. continue reading

The Dim Sum here is really nice and afforable and freshly steamed on the spot upon order therefore we have to wait about 10 mintues but the wait is worth it as the har kows are nicely steam and not soggy like those oversteamed.Tthe har kow which comes in a bamboo container and 3 pieces at $2.40.The har kow skin is wrapped just nice, not too thick or thin and inside is a big prawn and very fresh, very generous as we seldom find such big fresh prawn in a kopitiam selling dim sum at such afforable price and the chilli sauce served here goes very well with Dim sum. continue reading
