Chin chow desserts normally only come with just grass jelly syrup atap chee and ice. However the ones here were super unique and interesting in terms of toppings. I had a four seasons one which came with mango, chendol strips and jelly among other toppings. For 2 plus per bowl this was pretty worth the price for so many varied toppings! A very interesting and well liked dish continue reading

I had my local breakfast here at the Beverages stall at Kopitiam. I had my kaya toast with butter, ice milo and 2 half-boiled eggs. They were good and gave me a nostalgic feeling; remind me of days when I was a kid. The kaya toast were not bad but a little on the dry side, over toasted, kaya spread was minimal too. continue reading

The breakfast set that you can get from Kopitiam is always so worth it as the whole set comes with 2 soft boiled eggs, toasted bread and a drink. However, I do not like to drink coffee or tea in the early morning, so I will change my drink to hot milo and that will require you to top up another twenty cents, if I remembered correctly. Use the kopitiam card and you can earn it back as there will be a 10% discount. For toast, I liked to have the butter and sugar version as I like the taste of saltiness combined with some sweetness. Real good breakfast. continue reading

As we were in the area, we decided to go for breakfast and on that day, I wanted to have soft boiled eggs so we ordered the toast set that costs about $2.00 and there was even a 10% discount if you use the Kopitiam card. So worth it as the set consists of toast and I had the kaya version. It also comes with 2 soft boiled eggs and coffee / tea.The soft boiled eggs were just right, not overcooked or undercooked (something I experienced before). Together with some light soya sauce, it enhanced the flavour of the egg and the soft boiled eggs was smooth in texture. Nice. The toast was okay. Coffee was a bit thick and a bit too sweet though. Overall, a good breakfast set. Can try. continue reading
