Tonite I have a dinner with some of my ex-classmates at this restaurant. The restaurant offers international buffet for dinner. For weekend, it also offers BBQ food items on top of the usual dishes. It costs $62++ per adult for the buffet dinner. We are showed to a table by the window. The restaurant is quiet and cosy as there is not much other diners around. At the first station, there is cold seafood such as oysters, prawns, scallops, shellfishes, mussels, crayfishes, lobsters, deep fried soft shell crabs, yakitoris, salmon sashimi, assorted sushi and maki.Next station, there is vegetables on edible soil, DIY Penang rojak, assorted ngoh hiang, assorted cheese and crackers, and assorted salads Yam Neua Yang (Spicy Grilled Beef Salad), Yam Woon Sen (Glass Noodle Salad with Prawns and Chicken), Som Tam Malakar (Green Papaya Salad), Grill Vegetable with Prawn Salad, Couscous Salad, and Pumpkin and Taro Salad.Next is the soup station, where there is pumpkin soup and chicken soup, with assorted breads. We are disapppointed that the soups are not warm enough especially when the weather is quite cold. the pumpkin soup tastes a bit off. One of us feels that it tastes more like Lobster Bisque.Next is the star of the buffet dinner - the BBQ. There is tiger prawn, salmon steak, crayfish, scallop, spanish pork belly, boneless chicken thigh, lamb t-bone chop, and striplion steak, plus seasonings such as homemade sesame oil, hoi sin glaze, korean spice bbq, sambal and teriyaki. I am quite disappointed with my serving of lamb chop and pork belly which is quite overcooked and tough to eat. There is also other hot food such as Lamb Chop with Dijon Mustard, Roasted Duck, Black Dhall and Rajma Masala. There is also Hong Kong Kailan Mushroom, Steam Chicken Hong Kong, Fried Pork Rib, Otak Otak, Satay, and Fried Wantan Noodle. One of the us tried the laksa which tastes more like curry noodle with a kind of odd taste in it.There is also Baked Oyster, Baked Scallops, Assorted Crackers and Papadums, Beef Meat Ball, Spicy Prawn Skewers, Otak based dori fish, and Sambal Shellfish. The baked oyster and scallop tastes quite good and yummy, as well as, the sambal shellfish.Lastly is the dessert station, where there is assorted macaroons, Pandan Kaya, Pengat Pisang, assorted cakes, assorted ice cream, cut fruits, assorted kuehs, assorted cupcakes and DIY Ice Kacang. My favourite is the restaurant's signature Durian Pengat which is made by mixing durian pulp with coconut milk. It is quite rich and thick in flavour.Overall the food is not bad, with quite a number of choices for everyone. continue reading

Frankly speaking, i was a little disappointed on the buffet dinner on 26/4/2014. There are not much variety for me to choose from, even my nephew, which is 14 yrs old also complaints to me. The only seafood that i gives thumb up are: Boston Lobster n Oyster, which are very fresh n juicy n the only cakes that i likes is Apple Strudle. Very disappointed when i take some ice-crean for my nephew, it only left with one flavour (which is white in colour). Few choices for japanese food and there's no Satay. Even more upset is i have to additional charges for soft drink like Coke. I have been to many 4-5 star hotel for buffet and there no additional charges for soft drink. I paid almost $300 for 6 adults n 1 child and i dont think is value for money although every 2 paying diners, 1 dine for free. Indulge At Park should learn more from Shangri-la Hotel (Line Restaurant). They got so many varieties to choose from and free flow of soft drinks and fruits juices. Althought they charge a bit higher but i dont mind to pay a bit more to get quality food with so many varieties to choose from. continue reading

There are varieties of food to choose from, make the buffet spread nice. Seafood involved too. Love to eat salmon, and here there is salmon, which I could take free flow since is a buffet. Other varieties of Japanese food available too, for example different kinds of Sushi. The meat is good, the dessert too. Durian dessert is one of the nicest. This place is located at prime area, easy to get to even without car. For environment wise, its ambience is nice. continue reading

Sat between the interior of the restaurant and the lounge opposite. Ambience wise was good as live music from lounge accompanied the dinner, to create the mood.First we started eating the cold seafood section. The salmon sashimi and the cold poached prawns was very delicious. There were oysters also, but i did not try.At the Japanese section. There was sushi & maki and soba noodles. The only comment I have is, you can avoid this section and save your stomach space for other food. The salad section beside it was better. Tried many kinds of salads and the mushroom salad was the best, even though I love mushrooms. The other salads were ok, not too bad. The 2 kinds of hams were tasty.Onto the hot food, there was roasted beef and chicken, baked whole salmon in tomato sauce, vegetable fritter, fried pappadum & belinjo crackers, vegetable curry, green vegetable, tofu, lamb chop and a potato cheese gratin. The live station that night was mee siam. Dishes that i ate second serving were the lamb chop and the potato cheese gratin. The roast chicken was skinless, leaving only all the dry breast meat on the tray.Desserts wise, it consisted of durian pengat, ice cream, chocolate fountain and fresh fruits. There were 2 flavours for the egg tarts, original & kaya. You can’t really taste the difference between the two but still quite nice. Durian pengat and a chocolate cake was also nice. The chocolate was creamy and nice as usual but just 2 rounds would be enough if you do not want to end up vomiting. The buffet includes soft drinks Pepsi, MUG root beer and Mirinda grape. continue reading

If you like the thicken version of the chicken sausage, the breakfast buffet here will be able to delight you. Premium chicken sausage which is rich in the chicken meat is tender and firm. The chicken meat is also tender and juicy. As the portion is quite hugh, two pieces are more than enough to satisfy your taste buds. This is one of the popular item on the buffet spread and best like by everyone. Usually will be out of stock on the buffet spread soon too. continue reading
