Was driving around hougang area looking for new food place to try and found this Ming Kitchen Seafood at Avenue 8. I ordered Black Bean Beef Hor Fun.Charred and springy hor fun with heaps of tender and toothsome beef slices. You can find traces of soft fluffy egg laying on top of the flavourful and gooey black bean sauces coating everything in the plate. Really nice and satisfying. Now we can go home happy. continue reading

I ordered fried rice from Ming Kitchen. The aunty there is friendly and nice to recommend other dishes for the day. But doesn't feel like ordering much so I only ordered the fried rice. I had the Luncheon Meat & Sausages Rice. The rice is not sticky like those stick together. It is also a little oily. The meat they put is also quite generous. Quite big portion and pricing acceptable still. continue reading

The hor fan here is normally what i love to order from this stall whenever we wanted to buy back for our dinner gathering with family. The portion is usually quite alot and really enjoy eating those nicely cooked broad rice noodle which are very fragrant. The prawns and sotongs are very fresh and chewy. The dark sauce thick gravy is the winning reason for this dish as it is not too salty and full of the natural sweetness from the ingredients used in this dish. continue reading

Their zichar standard is there so I always patronise them if I wanted to have hor fun or zichar. This time round, I ordered the fried beef hor fun (dry). The beef hor fun was a bit oily but I can still accept it. The hor fun was well coated with the dark sauce and the texture was smooth. There was also a generous amount of beef slices that were tender and slightly chewly. The beef has been well marinated. The overall taste was slightly sweet with a hint of saltiness. Very well balanced. Delicious. continue reading
