Food: THin Crust Smoked Duck Pizza Ala Fire Station is indeed delicious! Plus point is the truffle mayo , so addictive.Pasta- Carbonara, Not so fantastic. There's a strange taste/smell that turns me off.Service:Too eager to clear plates, they came so often that really piss me off! Cant they see that my plate is not empty! Are they hoping for us to leave SOON! Environment: Nice colonial style building.. however..,covered yourself with loads of Mosquito repellant spray before you get off the car.Priceverpriced for the overall dining experience. Definately not worth it.Will I go again? Nope, thou its near to my house and I'll miss the truffle mayo on the smoked duck pizza. continue reading

You simply just have to try the Braised Duck Pizza(S$18). The unique pizza comes shredded duck meat(yes you can actually taset the duck meat), generous cheese toppings, rocket leaves and mayo on the thin crust. It is excellent! Two of us finished the entire pizza. We also had the Pork Belly(S$12) because wifey insisted on having it.It is no different from having the roasted meat in the market down the street. It tasted exactly the same except that it has thinner and crispier skin just like suckling pig skin. Not worth the $$$. continue reading

If you drive and is looking for a cozy place to have dinner without much hustle and bustle, Firestation is the place to go. I went with the Openricers on a dreary Wednesday. Not only did the smiles from the service staff cheer me up, the food totally made my day.My favourite would have to be the braised duck pizza. The combination of the thin crust, truffle mayo, rocket leaf and braised duck totally hit the spot for me.Needless to say, this carnivore also found the sirloin steak extremely delicious. The juices that flooded my mouth after taking a bite of the delish steak was extremely delightful. In fact, the whole experience should be made illegal in so many ways. The only drawback about Firestation would have to be of its ulu location (which would be a plus point for many drivers). But that will not stop me from heading back there. continue reading

I love the Braised Duck Pizza $18! Shared this enormous duck pizza with bf. love the luxurious truffle mayo. Perfect comfort food for a greedy couple like us. BTW business is good so be sure to call up and reserve a table beforehand. They are only open for dinner. Food is good. Dessert? Awesome. Get the apple crumble. Ambiance at the al-fresco dining area is suited for dreamy chats and mojitos. Will come here for future dates! continue reading

Tucked in Upper Bukit Timah road, this lovely place offers a cooling chillout experience for people who are in want of a cosy restaurant where conversation can be held comfortably without having to compete with other people's vocal chords. There is a choice of an air-conditioned indoor area, or al fresco dining.Service is great where the owners of Firestation add the personal touch by mingling with the customers. The chefs also take the effort to introduce dishes to our interested bunch of people. There was also an incident where they, on an impromptu note, concorted up a new drink for us to try, much to our delight.Prices are surprisingly reasonable .In terms of food, I very much enjoyed the rack of lamb, striploin steak and braised duck pizza. The steak was FAB. I had my fair share of overcooked / undercooked steak and more often than not, I went away disappointed. The striploin was perfectly medium-rare and came piping-hot, juicy and tender. I’m almost drooling just remembering how orgasmic it tasted. I'm not particularly a fan of pizza, but the unassuming braised duck pizza won me over. The taste of the rocket leaf in other pizzas that I have eaten before tend to overpower the other ingredients in the pizza. The combination for Firestation’s braised duck pizza with cheese, truffle mayo and duck with a thin crust was just right! Relaxed and laid-back, Firestation is a charming place to chill at the end of a gruelling workweek. Cosy place, gastronomical delight, affordable prices will continue to bring me in as a happy repeat customer. continue reading
