During mooncake season, I am on the hunt for good mooncakes that are more traditional and less overpriced.I found Cake History making lots of mooncakes this year! I love the heartland bakeries! So reasonably priced and very good quality.I love the traditional piglet form my childhood. The ones here are hygienically individually packed and not in the baskets. It's very good quality pastry! And such detail in the shape of the piglet! Almost didn't want to eat it. Cost about $2.80 for one. Not cheap but not crazy expensive like the hotels. The texture is perfect! The other mini mooncakes come in many flavours and you lose count of what they have! I like the traditional ones like pandan and lotus, which is what I got here. Cost about $2.80++ each depending on flavour. The fillings are not silky smooth but it's got good texture and taste. There are low sugar options, and some are a bit too sweet, but generally they taste good. As they are mini, you can try many flavours before you get sick! The pastry is the right balance to the filling.Hope they do it again next year! Recommended for mooncakes! continue reading

Second time buying from this bread shop.(:It is located just along the walk way to and fro the mrt station, so it is quite convenient. The price was considered reasonable too.Bought this chocolate bread this time, and the taste was not very nice. It was not very rich in the chocolate taste and the bread was a little dry. But one thing I liked about it was that it is softer on the inside and taste simple & plain.Just that it cost $2.50 for 4 of those breads, it could have tasted better.(: continue reading

This chicken floss bread from cake history. The bread that they sell all are no pork no lard. it comes with non spicy chicken floss. The chicken floss is stick onto the cream. I have to eat carefully to prevent falling of the floss. and the light mayonaise cream will stick onto my teeth. The cream is kind of yummy and not so oily taste. I think the price is very affordable for students. as the bread is around $1.20 each continue reading

i love cake history's hot dog bun. they cut one hot dog into half and lay it on the bread. then they add alot of chilli and mayo on top. not forgetting, they add in a lot of vegetables in it, making it quite healthy, minus away the dressings continue reading

Cake history have a wide variety of bread and pastry. The bread is selling at reasonable price but nothing special. I ordered the floss bun and the potato bun from them. The floss bun is too dry and hard. However, the potato bun is quite delicious. The filling is full with the potato and it's juicy( unlike the floss bun which is very dry)There's lots of sesame on the potato bun and the bread is soft. continue reading
