Brought a plate of the white version carrot cake from the mini wok stall at IMM kopitiam. The carrot cake is well cooked as generous amount of the egg mixture is added. The carrot cake is quite fragrance, well sliced and well-cooked as well. Some cai pok is also added to enhance the bland taste of the carrot cake. Lastly, the carrot cake is not oily and I think that the spring onion garnish can be added more. Apart from carrot cake, it also sells those common dishes that can be found in a cze char stall such as the fried rice, hor fun and many more. continue reading

Brought a bowl of the stir fried penang noodle from this mini wok stall at the IMM kopitiam. Presentation of the noodle is not very appealing as the sliced cabbage is placed at one side of the noodle. The noodle is being overcooked as it has a light burned taste. As for the seasoning wise, it a bit too bland. Other than the sliced cabbage, other ingredient added was only some sliced carrot, fishcake, bean sprout and egg. Overall, not that tasty and with a price of $4.50 is not that reasonable. continue reading

Back to the Kopitiam for lunch again. This stall served their dishes in a mini wok, just as its name suggested. They have a great variety of dishes. From noodle to rice, soup to dry. Wanted some seafood, so I ordered a 'wok' of dry seafood hor fun. The portion looked rather small. Unfortunately, they only have green chilli, no chilli padi. $5.00 ($4.50 with the discount card) per plate. I felt that it was a little expensive. Nothing much inside. Very oily. continue reading
