Emphasized on fruits desserts, Ritz Apple Strudel expanded dramatically and became famous recently. Apart from existing kiosk counters at several main shopping mall, it also appeared at various road shows or food festival booths held all over Singapore. The package was lovely and convenient to carry, a thoughtful design. Halal logo displayed at the corner, it has no transfat, no artificial sweetness and no preservatives. Always served in chilled, it need to be kept in fridge. Freshness was guaranteed, all pastries were prepared daily. Baked it until the crust turned into golden, outlay was crunchy and each layer was full of whipped apple cubes. Flaky and firm came in loaf, the sweetness was just nice. Half portion was priced at $12.50, very delightful. continue reading

I got a mini apple strudel ($4.5) takeaway from the shop. I had tried other types of strudel such as the mango strudel and strawberry strudel but apple strudel still remain my favourite! The crust of the strudel is made up of multiple layers. The shiny appearance on the outer crust came from sugar glaze, which added a nice crunch and sweetness to it. In between the crust, there were sweetened apple cubes which gave a crunchy twist to the creamy custard.I realise that for takeaway, you need to consume it as soon as possible in order to enjoy the crispy crust. If you left it from afternoon until night time, the crust might have already turned soft. continue reading

The cream puffs from Ritz Apple Strudel were recommended by my good friend! Having tried both the chocolate and vanilla version, I love the vanilla cream puffs more! This is quite surprising as I always preferred chocolate to vanilla. This shop only had about 2 to 3 small tables and a few chairs and functions more like a takeaway counter. They also sell various other pastries like the strudels, cakes, rolls, eclairs etc. continue reading

This shop has been around for a long time but it's my first time dining in, instead of takeaway. For a change, I had strawberry strudel ($5.60) to share with my friend. It's quite a huge slice, and instead of the usual apple cubes, this one was strawberry halfs! The sweetness of the cream and the sourness of the strawberries make a good combination, pretty much like the apple strudel. The downside is that it's quite hard to eat it without the strawberries squeezing out whenever I tried to cut into the strudel. The crust is really crunchy and flaky, as such, it's quite a mess eating it. Nevertheless, it's still a good eat! Good to share, because it's a really big slice for $5.60!There are not many seats inside as the shop is small, so you might have to sit outside. You have to order inside and they will send the strudels to you! continue reading
