Mutton Soup
Review (2)
Attention grabbing superb mutton (kambing) soup by Haji M. Abdul Razak Stall here at Upper Boon Keng Market and Food Centre. Mutton ribs are "people's choice" here as it comes tender and slides off the bone easily. Alternatively, hardcore kambing lovers would opt for the tulang (bone and marrow) so they can nibble on the tendon and suck out the rich and flavourful marrow. The soup here is savoury, smooth and rich both in aroma and flavour. The herbs and mildly peppered soup gives the soup a 'punch' and serves as a counter to the gaminess. The mutton cubes were seriously good stuff! Tender through and through! This is truly an amazing delicacy!More pics and thoughts at http://lepakwithyaops.com/haji-m-abdul-razak-stall-mutton-kambing-soup-since-1955-at-upper-boon-keng-road continue reading

When I was in Geylang this afternoon, I made my way to the other side of the MRT line to give this stall a try because one local dish that I absolutely love is kambing soup. However, most Indian Muslim food stalls that serve Soup Kambing don't get it right. The soup is either too diluted or the mutton too dry.Haji M. Abdul Rajak Stall is located at Upper Boon Keng Market, specialises in serving halal food. After trying it, I found that it's worth a try because the soup was actually very good. It was smooth and savoury (some mutton soup can be quite powdery). Succulent lamb and well recipe soup. Indeed the best extraordinary soup Kambing! This was just the light snack that I need before dinner. Conclusion: Whoever care for some absolutely delicious mutton soup can visit this stall. Remember to ask for a soup refill if you need more. Die die must try continue reading
