Kallang Leisure Park Chicken King, always walk past by when I do my groceries at Cold Storage. There seems to be a lot of people eating there at lunch hours so was curious to try.Roast chicken rice , I didn't like the rice that's the "big fluffy" type cos it easily overpowers the chicken which loses the focus of the dish. Chicken had a little blood and it was cold. again, easily had better ones else where. so much for "King". continue reading

we love singapore chicken rice, but find that most places do it too sickeningly oily. after eating at many places, even the famous ones, we find this the best. the meat here is moist and flavourful. however, the portion is small. we prefer the roasted skin chicken to the white skinned chicken. the rice here is very flavourful and not oily at all! the chicken soup is a herbal based soup, so it tastes homemade, healthy and very flavourful. totally love the chicken rice set! nothing to complain except for the portion - too small! about $5 continue reading

Wang Lao Wu Chicken Rice is a new name in the food scene selling chicken rice. Within 3 months, the group has already opened 5 outlets around Singapore. They even give out 150 free packets of chicken rice to the needy senior citizen in Singapore on every 1st and 15th of the month.I have to admit that the catchy name Wang Lao Wu (王老五) caught my attention and not the food initially. After studying the posters placed around the outlet, it kinda of convinced me to give it a try. The pricing at Wang Lao Wu Chicken Rice is quite reasonable. $4.90 for a chicken set meal and $3.80 for a bowl of soup.Although the boiled white chicken was moist and tender, I felt that it still came short to more established chicken rice stalls. The Water Cress Pork Ribs Soup was tasty and refreshing. For the curry chicken set, you can choose either bread or rice. The curry gravy was good and the bread was perfect for soaking up the delicious gravy. continue reading
