The most unlikely place. To find heng hwa styled lor mee.So just because his cousin has a shop opposite at sago street, we would never have imagined having dinner here. There was no menu available. You just either have prawn noodles or lor mee. Or anything else if you ask. We realised. But since we were recommended, our table of four had a bowl of lor mee each. One without veggies for the kid.The soup was awesome on umami flavour. The bowl chock full of ingredients.Hello la la clams, prawns and meat.OH YUM. continue reading

Visit http://www.celestialdelish.com/2012/07/singapore-food-festival-2012.html for a detailed review and more photos.I didn't literally visit the restaurant but had tried their food during the SFF 2012 at Waterfront Promenade @ Marina Bay.The famous Dinosaur Prawn Noodles, Melaka “Lok Lok” to Zi Char Old House Style, all dishes are concocted based on traditional recipe inherited from their grandparents.Dinosaur Prawns used for their noodles @ $25.00 We had the Big Prawn Noodles from the stall @ $8.00The noodles were al dente, but the alkaline taste was too strong and overpower the delicate soup.White Lor Mee @ $8.00White lor mee is not the usual black starchy gravy. The white broth has a tingle of sweetness, and a hint of savouriness from the succulent seafood in it. Yum, I want a bowl now! continue reading
