This meal was really filling and satisfying. This outlet was quite crampy and squeezy, which was abit uncomfortable. The price is reasonable for 2 different sets total is $24, which inclusive of the standard cabbage and bean sprout, and also the main course mushroom and teriyaki chicken. Cabbage and beansprouts are all very fresh and crunchy, portion are also very generous. Mushrooms are very fragrance and chewy, and also the chicken meats are very tender and juicy too. The chef is very friendly and fast in serving the food too. continue reading

This Express Teppan-Yaki stall at the basement of Tampines Mall has been around for ages, surviving through the mall's renovation and transformation periods. The fact that it is still going strong today proves that customers enjoy their food!I paid $10 for my meal (beef set), and it comes with rice, soup, vegetables, bean sprouts and stir fried beef. The enjoyable experience dining here is that the ingredients are all fresh, and the chef starts cooking infront of you only after you've placed your order. I love how the vegetables and bean sprouts are so fresh and juicy and crunchy. The meat is also really tasty and tender. As the chef cooks, the aroma of the food intensifies and I'm always left salivating and yearning for my food even before the food is ready. If you think that waiting for the chef to cook 3 dishes from scratch after you're seated might be a wait too dreadful, I only waited less than 5 minutes for the first dish (bean sprouts). All my food were ready within 10 minutes, served piping hot! Will definitely return to try other dishes! continue reading

The sambal prawns here are really crunchy and the sambal used to stir fry the prawns is quite spicy but really fragrant. The chef here will cook the dish in front of you upon your order so we will not have any doubt the food will turn cold or you have no ideals on how long the chef will take to finish cooking the dish for you. THere are no hidden service here so you be glad to see the every steps the chefs have gone through to prepare the dish for you. The beansprouts are the usually stir fry taste, only that it has added that slightly 'overburnt' smell to it. continue reading

After shopping with friend, decided to dine in Express Teppanyaki. Is a art watching the chef doing the food preparation in front of our eyes. We ordered Mushroom Set and Set B (it consist of fish, squid, scallop and tenderloin steak or chicken) I choose chicken because my friend don't eat beef and set meals come with fried mixed vegetables too. I like the bean spourts because it was fresh and crunchy. The squid and chicken was pretty fresh and easy to chew. I like the fish, it really fresh and tasty, had a good texture and was thoroughly enjoyable. The mushroom quite fresh and I like it. Overall, the food was average. continue reading

This is a review for Express TeppanYAKI and not TeppanKAKI. But I wouldn't be bothered to notify customer service coz they normally take about a week or more to rectify. So to save me from forgetting my food experience, I'll just post without the correction. This is my default order when I go for any teppanyaki..be it in Singapore or out of Singapore. Being a habitual creature, I prefer to stick to my normal order. Friends said that I'm loyal...but I think I'm just being stubborn. I would always request for the chef to add chilli when cooking my sotong coz those evil little chilli padi really does make my sauce taste better. Still taste good after the nth time eating the same thing. The sauce makes the difference. What I didn't like was the lady at the cash register. We were queuing (there were about 8 in the queue) and she was oblivious to our existence. Her sms apparently caught her attention more than the customers. She only decided to work when her colleague tapped her on her shoulder upon seeing my stare of disapproval. Come on lady, you are paid to take orders and collect payment....not to go on an sms marathon! continue reading
