We ordered a plate of Carbonara pasta for SGD8.00 to be shared among two people. It wasn't a very huge portion despite the huge plate and higher pricing.. The pasta was really delicious and the sauce was creamy and rich! I love how they didn't dilute their carbonara.. strangely enough, it didn't make me feel sick of it unlike the carbonara sauce in pasta mania.there's many other food items sold in pizza pazza as well and the service is really slow. the guy said it only takes 1 minute to do the pasta as my friend and i was in a rush. but he took more than 10 minutes!! there's a queue number.. and regardless of what time you go, it seem silk ether are always busy.i love the spacious restaurant though. it has a lot of empty seats, perhaps for the office workers during lunchtime hours! continue reading

Quick lunch here with the kids and we had:1) Baked Pasta - pretty big serving of penne pasta. I find the tomato sauce very nice actually and they are also generous with the cheese over the top. 2) Fish & Chips - kids had that. They liked that enough to finish all on their plates. Crispy and fish is also nicely seasoned. 3) Chicken Chop with pasta - pasta is al dente and reckon it's the same tomato sauce. The pasta is not very flavourful as the sauce just coats the pasta. The chicken chop is well grilled and I like the brown sauce that coats it. Overall a nice dish. 4) Pizza - dough is actually quite good and fight with other no name pizza places. All in all a good place to get quality Italian fare at foodcourt prices. I like! continue reading

I had dinner at anchorpoint with my girlfriend, sometime we would eat at the koufu before heading over to ikea. We both are real fans of the western food there, the soft shell crab pasta is really good. sometimes we wait really long for our food to be prepared but the quality is indeed worth the wait. The soft shell crab is deep fried till very crispy, the crab is very juicy. The sauce is really good, a little on the sourish side, giving the dish some acidity. However the food is a little on the pricey side, but I guess it was worth it for such quality. continue reading

We are quite used to getting queue numbers when buying bubble tea, but getting queue number for food in a food court is really my first time. They need to have this system in place so that once people have ordered their food, they can go back to their seat and wait instead of waiting in the queue and cause a jam in that limited space. The food is prepared and cooked on the spot. Waited about 10 minutes for this beef sirloin and my companion is already halfway into his food. The dish is nicely presented with salad, sunny side up egg, garlic bread and cheese fries. Ordered medium rare and am glad the chef did a great job in this. A little bit of overcooking and the meat would become medium so the master of timing and and heat is important. The meat is tender and flavorful with their special sauce. Oh, and I think they do provide delivery. continue reading

First time eating at Anchorpoint's food court - Koufu. During this CNY period, this Koufu outlet appears to be lavishly decorated, giving the feeling of eating in a Chinese restaurant. Read the above review and decided to try 2 of the above food choices - Chicken Primavera and Pannacotta. My review is as follows:Chicken Primavera - Rather oily. Not sure if Aglio Olio meant to be so oily. The taste is mostly bland but I enjoyed the occasional taste of the bitter fried garlic bits in the spaghetti. It adds an intensive taste to the spaghetti, along with some flavourful chicken bits. Nonetheless, it does not qualify as my best spaghetti. Pannacotta - This was delicious! Not for those who hate milk as the taste was a rich milky taste! I loved it! This dish can be further improved if the shape can be kept consistent as it now appears as one side higher than the other. If the shape can maintain its consistency, what you'll get is a PERFECT dessert dish!My colleague tried the Crayfish Marinara. On first look, it does look tempting as the crayfish had been amazingly fried on the outside till it looked like a huge crispy wanton. However, it turned out that there is rather little meat within and it kind of left her with disappointment. But she did commented that the spaghetti sauce was delicious - reviews coming from a tomato fan!Total cost (Chicken Primavera + Crayfish Marinara + 2 Pannacotta) = $17.10 Price is reasonable for the quality of food! The stall also runs with a counter like that of Koi. Seems like this little operational idea is getting popular. I must mention that despite the presence of a counter which gives the feeling that a long wait is expected, we did not wait very long for our food, at least not more than 5 mins. continue reading
