My dad always buy breakfast at Boon Lay Market and today he bought the economical bee hoon mixed with the instant noodles. The noodles are a little dry, same for the other ingredients without any “wow” factor. The egg, seaweed chicken and nugget also look like it has been cooked for quite some time. Still the stall serves up affordable meals and so a little bit of quality has to be compromised. It still tastes reasonably good except for the dry factor and so it is acceptable to me. continue reading

This was my simple breakfast to start a new day. The kway teow and the mee fried simply with only the basic seasoning and bean sprouts. It might be simple but it tasted good. I added a ngor hiang to my plate of fried kway teow mee. The ngor hiang was well-fried and not oily at all. It best to be eaten with their special chilli. The spiciness of their chilli complemented it so well. To complete this is to go with a cup of good coffee. continue reading
