Went there with my girlfriend for lunch and realized that the food took forever to took (on average, it was about 5-10 minutes before we could even flip our items).Food variety was really poor. The only thing there notable was the bulgoggi range and everything else was fluff. For the hour that we were there the soup never came close to boiling and everything inside was raw.We opened the panel at the side and found the temperature set to medium low, so we turned the knob to medium high and the food started cooking. The soup never came to a boil, because it was just a rectangular tin can placed on the hot plate, which is curved, so it doesn't even have full contact.I guess it's their business strategy to make the food cook extremely slowly, because at the end of the meal when they cleared our plates, one of the china workers exclaimed angrily, "They turned up the temperature themselves!".We didn't come very early, but we were also punctually chased away once the time was up.Don't recommend at all. continue reading

I bought the online vouchers of this restaurant for my friend's surprise birthday party. The deal was cheaper for lunch ($12.90), but I bought the dinner buffet instead ($18.90). The location was not difficult to find and the nearest MRT is Bartley. We didn't have a problem in find a lot from its free carpark, which is convenient for people who drive. The first impression was clean, but the selections of the food are very poor. When it comes to the meat, though they were marinated and seasoned well, but the smoke is rather bad and it will sure make your clothes and hair stink for the rest of the night. The most disappointing part lies with the "steamboat" which didn't look like the normal steamboat. Here, it is a rectangular metal container which was just put on the hotplate. As expected, it could not come close to a point of boiling or cooking anything. We stayed there for a good 2 hours, and all the food inside the metal container stay rather uncooked, or soaked to a lukewarm temperature. The soaked food was rather unappetizing, it still tastes raw and frozen. The soup base itself didn't appeal to me either. Everything in the pot was hardly edible. The service they provide was okay, they helped to clean up our table so we can make room to cut the birthday cake. Even though they did not let us to put the birthday cake in their fridge (as they claim the fridge was stuffed with their food), we had to eat a slightly warm cake at the end. The 5 of us all agree only the instant fried food such as spring rolls, and fried Hokkien mee there are edible and probably are the only dishes we might recommend here. We eventually cut and eat the cake to fill our stomach at the end. It was quite an experience, but one thing I am sure of is that not only I will not go back again, and I hope the restaurant can improve themselves. continue reading

Gone are the days where we are limited to only book a BBQ pit at the park or void deck in order to enjoy the joy & fun of BBQ gatherings. In the modern times, steamboat BBQ/Korean BBQ is available at many restaurants now, and Seoul Good Bulgogi Korean BBQ is one of them.I came to know of this place because I bought an online deal- $11.90 for Korean BBQ + Free Flow of drinks. It's so value for money!FOODThe meatThe meat Prawns, Sotong, FishVegetablesMy own 'BBQ pit'There were not many variety of food. They are: Vegetables, Mushroom, Meat, Prawn, Sotong, Fish, Crabstick, Fishballs, and Egg. The basic ingredients for steamboat/BBQAs for the drinks, there are only Lemon Bartley and Ice lemon tea. The lemon tea is quite diluted while the lemon barley is too sweet. As for the BBQ pit, its 2 to 1 sharing.AMBIENCEJus like any other air-conditioned cafe. It's quite unhygienic as there are a few housefly flying around the food. SERVICEThey are not very polite. One of the staffs seems a little pissed when I took the wrong bowl/ plate to put my ingredients. They asked you to stop cooking/eating once the BBQ time is up. Very punctual to 'chase' us away.LOCATIONNot very accessible. The nearest bus-stop is like 5 minutes away, and not many buses go there. The nearest MRT is about 10 to 12 minutes away. No shelter from the bus stop or MRT Stations. It's inconvenient to go there on a rainy day unless one drives. There is a carpark for people who drives though. continue reading
