Whether you’re a wine connoisseur looking to expand your collection or a beginner hoping to partake in special wine masterclasses, Wine Discovery Weekend – returning from 17 to 18 October – is one to note. This year’s theme is “Discovering Exceptional Wines for Everyone” and the event will showcase more than 100 wine labels from 40 wineries, as well as 11 wine producers including Dourthe from Bordeaux, Rivera from Italy and Alphonse Mellot from France. Organized by Singapore’s first online wine retailer, Ewineasia.com, owner Susy Santoso says, “For this year’s Wine Discovery Weekend, we wanted to see how we can further encourage and share this appreciation of artisanal wines.”

Wine Discovery Weekend Walkabout Tasting

For those interested in tasting artisanal wines and meeting wine producers in person, a Wine Discovery Weekend Walkabout Tasting (with complimentary masterclasses) will be taking place on 17 Oct at APS Lifestyle from 10am to 6pm. Tickets are going at $45 with a $20 rebate for wine purchases made on the same day. Renowned wine author Edwin Soon will be making his debut by hosting a masterclass on how to describe wines using Asian terms. You can also learn about Cabernet Sauvignons around the world from Marie-Agnes Labopin, former sommelier at Joel Robuchon.
