Ikura chawanmushi. initially i was impressed to see so much roe on top of the steamed egg

verdict: can be much better. roe doesnt taste as fresh as other times.

This Japanese styled 'calamari' was surprising not bad. the squid meat was not rubbery at all. neither was it soggy. flour batter was fried till super crispy, akin tempura crumbs. best dish here this evening

The service was reasonably good considering the crowd and it being peak meal time. some servers were forgetful.
