Each Sushi Tei restaurant bears the classy, elegant and modish look. Sushi Tei - Paragon Shopping Centre

While waiting for food to be served, I drank the hot green tea (what I always order in Japanese Restaurant).

I tried the Chawanmushi and eat when I finished my Una Tama Don due to large portion of rice. Egg was smooth and soft, better taste when you add sweet soyu sauce and togarashi spice recipe.

I recommend all the food lovers to try the soft shell crab because it's yummy! Kindly note that you have to eat this upon serving, otherwise it might be a little soggy.

After settling the payment at counter and love the place, I'll definitely can plan my lunch time at Sushi Tei on Paragon Mall during my next visit.

The tempura calamari tasted so much better than other tempura in sushi tei and the portion is huge! But I feel the pan fried salmon is a little too oily for my liking but I love it how they actually decorated it with ebiko (:

Will pay a visit again for adequate portion and affordable price!

Snack was ordered to fulfill our craving towards sushi, simple but luxury. I ate them with dipping of teriyaki sauce, freshness was highlighted immediately. Overall, it was a worthwhile experience in Sushi Tei, I don’t mind to come again.

From the Wagyu Promotion menu, I selected a plate of Kagoshima Wagyu Beef Sushi served with ponzu sauce. There are two pieces of broad raw strips of beef which are flavorful and tender. The tender texture of the marbled meat has an impact on diners with a flavour that is memorable.

Spider Salad Roll Specially created by their 112 Katong branch. The main ingredients being soft shell crab with lettuce roll topped with tobiko (flying fish roe). The Vietnamese spring roll wrap was too soft due to over soaking of the sheet.

I was disappointed with this dish because the soft shell crab was not crispy.

The overall roll was very soft due to the dampness of the vegetables and the softness of the wrapped sheet combination. The pieces of cut salad roll just collapsed before I could even put them in my mouth.

Me and my friend had our lunch at the outlet at Paragon, Orchard and it wasn't too crowded at that point in time. We took counter seats as we weren't sure of what we wanted to eat, so we sat at the counter in case we had a craving for sushi. We ordered a Chirashi Don and a plate of Curry Rice with Chicken. The chirashi Don had a nice presentation to it and it was served with various slices of sashimi. The sashimi were all very fresh with the slightest whiff of a fishy smell and just very yummy! The curry rice was decent with a taste that wasn't too spicy or too bland - Mixed well with vegetables, chicken and potatoes, the curry rice was an appetizing dish to enjoy. We didn't get any sushi in the end as we were pretty much satisfied with what we had already ordered, which is another testament to how good Sushi Tei's food is!

Personally I love the hanasaki ika tempura which is fried squid. This is a very yummy appetiser which has a crispy fried batter even when it turned cold. However was kinda disappointed that the dish was served cold.chawanmushi is really good and is of a bigger portion as compare to what itacho served.Sashimi was not really fresh ,maybe is bcos I took it from the belt.Zaru soba is served in quite a big portion.
Overall : Service was good even though it was a friday evening.Food was served fast so no complaints. Thus it's likely I will ne back again.
P.S: Order the sashimi from the server if u prefer fresher salmon.

This Japanese styled 'calamari' was surprising not bad. the squid meat was not rubbery at all. neither was it soggy. flour batter was fried till super crispy, akin tempura crumbs. best dish here this evening

The service was reasonably good considering the crowd and it being peak meal time. some servers were forgetful.

I wasn't feeling particularly hungry that day, so I decided to order some small side dishes instead of a full meal. I had their chawanmushi, which costs around $3.80; egg was smooth and soft, better than your average chawanmushi. Potato croquette was well fried, but can give it a miss as there was nothing special about it. I also had a piece of grilled teriyaki salmon which costs around $12+; salmon was fresh and the sauce went really well with it; quite a small piece though.

I decided to live healthily for once and Japanese food is a good place to start. A better dish to eat will most certainly be salad and I had the salmon salad at Sushi Tei. Sushi Tei at Paragon is relatively quiet on afternoons and thus a good place to chill. The salmon sashimi was very fresh and therefore a pleasure for sashimi aficionados. The cut was a little too thick. The rest of the ingredients were also quite fresh except for the lettuce which tasted somewhat sour.

Kani Mentai Mayo Roll ($8) **My favourite !!

This is a deep-fried crab meat sushi with mentai mayo slathered in generous portion as well as fried carrots sprinkled on top. The savoury taste of the crab meat and mayo that lingers in my mouth together with the slightly crispy carrots are the ones that makes me feel like eating it again. *winks.

Asari Butter ($14)

If you know me, I'm the sort of person who will avoid eating raw fish, clams, oysters and etc due to a bad experience I had. However, I decided to give it a try and bravely put it into my mouth and it turns out to be quite acceptable. No bloody/ awful/ strong taste. I guessed it must be the great chef who sauteed it (fresh Asari Clams) with butter and soya sauce to overcome it.
