Spicy Tomato Soup ($5)
Served in a shot glass, the soup is hot and spicy.

Served with bread.

The rillettes is served in a small glass bottle. Spreaded on the crispy but hard bread, it reminds one of otak on bread.

Beef Rendang Nachos (Regular $18// Monster $35)
Expecting yellow nachos, but it turns out to be deep fried wanton skins. The beef cube is quite tender with a melt in the mouth texture. But the rendang sauce is a more western feel, as it is not as spicy as the usual kind, and has a cream base feel.

Crispy Midwings ($9)
It is not as crispy as I would have like. A bit soggy, but the meat is tender and tangy.

Stuffed Squid ($18)
The whole squid is stuffed with bubur pulut hitam (black glutinous rice porridge with coconut milk
), that has been cooked risotto style, and grilled.

Mushroom Lemak (v) ($15)
It looks like a bowl of Hokkien Mee when served. Topped with greens and crunchy pomegranate seeds. Although it looks very creamy, but it does not taste jelat. The noodles is very soft, Nua Nua in texture.

Norwegian Mackerel ($35)
It served with a pail of truffled sweet potato fries, edamame beans, spicy onion relish, and pickled ginger. The fries tastes crispy, sweet and unique with a hint of truffle oil smell and taste. The fish is fresh and chunky. The spicy relish is rich and yummy. The pickled ginger seems more for some stronger flavoured items such as century egg.

Chye Poh Potato Salad ($5)
The potato salad tastes not bad but cannot taste any chye poh in it. I also feel that it is a bit on the dry side.

Asian Pesto Chicken Noodles ($18)
It looks like a green colored version of fried Hokkien Mee when served. The pesto sauce tastes difficult from the usual type, as it has quite a strong tangy lemongrass taste. One is expecting a herbal taste with a name pesto on the dish. Similar to the above noodle dish, the noodles here is the Nua Nua type.

Barbecue Pork Ribs ($24)
Served on a bed of mashed cauliflower, with pickled red cabbage, edamame beans and wasabi like brown sauce. The ribs is fork tender and flavourful. The edamame beans has a garlicky taste. Whereas the pickled red cabbage reminds me of the traditional German Rotkohl (Sweet/Sour Red Cabbage).

US Angus Beef ($26)
Served with Salad & Sweet Potato Mash.
The beef which is slow cooked in sous vide style, tastes very tender. The sweet potato mash is fine and creamy. Interestingly it is served with pomegranate seeds too.

Sticky Date Pudding with salted caramel ice-cream ($8)
Served in a small bowl, the small pudding is covered by the ice cream. The pudding is soft and moist, as well as, not too sweet. The salted caramel ice-cream, which is made in house from scratch, is quite smooth and creamy in texture.

Salted Caramel Ice Cream ($4), Swap with Bacon Caramel (+$1.5)
This is the well known Bacon Ice Cream. It looks like Salted Caramel Ice Cream. But in the mouth, one can feel the savoury, smoky, and chewy taste of bacon on top of the sweet, and salty salted caramel taste.

Overall the food is delicious and plated elegantly, with reasonable prices. As it is a wednesday, there is not much customers around. The place is quite relaxing and cozy. Overall it is gem in the neighbourhood. By the way, there is no GST or service charge when dining in this place.
