This Restaurant is located walking distance from my office.Went there frequently, for both lunch and dinner.Its a great place, simple seat, ceiling fan - not such a high profile restaurant tho..MUST TRY! Sambal ChiliSince I am Indonesian, who definitely love spicy food, the sambal in this restaurant is super great.Not the spiciness, but the smell, the taste. definitely the best sambal in Singapore! Black Pepper ChickenOne of the newest menu by the Chef (grat's uncle, great dish!) have a great taste of black pepper. It smells great, but without too much of black pepper. I love this dish even-thou im not a black pepper dish lover. Imagine how great this is. Chicken CutletThis dish is must eat on the spot! if you da pao wont taste so great. but the crispiness, is damn YUMMY! Dry DumplingFor those who does not like fried dishes, or those who are having a throat ache, fret not, you can get this dry dumpling! the sauce is super great i could not even describe it by words. You MUST go there to try and know the taste. Roasted PorkDamn good, simply because i love a great dish of Roasted Pork. eat it together with the sambal chili. Yummy!In case the friendly auntie and uncle there asking why are u all visiting, tell them the Fat Boy from Hong Kong street wrote this review. They should feel proud of themselves. I was at the Cookaholic and saw how the service staff attitude towards the two ladies customers.When the two ladies asked for more chilli, an old service staff especially raised her voice of discontentment, grumbling :"So.. Troublesome!!" towards the lady customer which I thought it was not necessary. It seemed like all staff - 3 or 4 of them, were busy doing their cleaning chores, and yet there were only 3 customers at that time (including myself).Not attending to customers and yet yelling at the lady customers that they did not have the chilli. I felt the service was very poor and it was embarrassing for the customer to be yelled at. At all time, all food establishment should be ready to serve food with condiments.Such a poor service and attitude will deter me to go back and eat there. Although the price and food quality are good, it is definitely not a sight you like to see an old lady throwing her weight at customers. I personally will not go back there again.

Bad lunch experience at COOKAHOLIC, Circular Road!I have never seen such service staff in my life!!! Their attitude were really horrendous!! Rude old lady raised her voice and middle-aged lady grumbling at the background when we asked for more chilli and shouted that they did not have chilli for us.How could one run a food stall in Singapore without allowing customers to ask for extra chilli??? Really ridiculous! We will not go back to COOKAHOLICS again. We did not eat for free and do not deserve such rude attitude!!!
