Signature Dishes
As I live nearby, we were food hunting along this stretch of neighbourhood and checked out this old looking Fu Lin Tou Fu Garden restaurant.DIY handpicked chose our yong tou fu pieces and passed to them to fry, the bittergourd with fish paste still lingers strongly in the mouth as from my knowledge, they’re using young bittergourds which tends to have an acerbic taste. Seaweed chicken is your usual generic supermarket package but a great high heat deep frying sets the texture difference between frying it yourself at home and eating it here. Lady finger / Okra as a vegetable, gets a little dried after deepfrying, but somehow this dish’s inside still has all the moisture and gooey goodness which tasted palatable. Fish balls are still bouncy but in personal preference , I would have wanted a soup version for this. Overall the ingredients are coated with their special minced meat sauce which is flavourful and delicious.Minced meat noodles were a great companion to the Yong Tou Fu as the noodles are springy and smooth. (The soup/sauce is the same as the one coated on the above mentioned yong tou fu)

Went there for lunch with friend. First time trying, the food was not bad. The fried tofu was crispy and deep fried golden brown but a little bit oily. They add some sauce in it and makes the tofu taste more good. The otah taste good too. It a bit spicy but not really hot. I felt a bit disappointed. As for the noodle, it was served hot. The noodle were springy and chewy and goes well with the gravy. The gravy not overly salty and the taste just nice. Overall, the food was average.
