We came this stall on a rainy day at Chong pang city ,  we ordered bak kut teh ($5), pig trotter ($5) and pig organ soup ($4.50) and two bowls of rice. 2 person only spent $16.50. A pleasant chewy bite from the little bit of fat in the pork rib. The soup was not very peppery and fragrant, and the meat was tender. The soup sent a wake up call to the senses, maybe more like an annoying alarm as the unlimited! And refilling of soup can be served. The turnaround was the bowl of braised pork trotters that should never be missed from your table. The wobbly collagenic skin had just the right amount of fat for flavour, so your arteries are safe from being clogged. The soft tender meat was soaked thoroughly in the dark soy sauce, the savoury and sweet profiles made this a mouthwatering dish. Sip on the tie guan yin between bites, the nectarous oolong cleanses the palate, and also serves as a comfortable sweet end note to a rousing meal. The pig organ soup here is not exactly same as Malaysia (where it's basically pepper soup), could use more pepper. This bowl is terrible savoury  and has liver, stomach, meat ball, and belly meat.So if you're in the area and need comfort food, give this a try! It's very tasty . I like it continue reading

A very popular stall in Chong Pang, known for its Bat Kut Teh Soup. One could always notice the crowd at this stall.Mutton Soup ($4.50)The mutton meat is very tender and tear off easily. The soup tastes less peppery and more flavourful, compared to the other soup.Assorted Soup ($4.00)Inside the soup, there is assorted pig's parts such as tender slices of pork, pig's stomach, pork meat balls, and pig's liver. The soup tastes quite peppery.Salted Vegetables ($1.00)The vegetables is cooked till very soft and flavourful.Total costs $10.50 (including 2 bowls of plain rice). Overall it is a very tasty and filling meal. Service is also very fast. continue reading

I came with my partner to have lunch. We decided to try the bak kut teh for the first time. The nicely cooked pork ribs were served in a bowl of rather peppery soup with a nice garlicky taste. The texture of these pork ribs was at the right level of softness. It was so soft that the meat came off the bone effortlessly. The best way to enjoy these pork ribs is to dip them into the dark sauce with red cut chillies. It goes well with rice too. continue reading
