My colleague has bought a whole cake from this cake shop for my girl's friend birthday. The cake size may look small and not really that attractive, but the tastse of it certainly win our hearts. The cake sponge texture is very soft and moist. Lots of fresh strawberries can be found in it which make the cake really sweet and delicious. The cream cheese used in it also added that extra nice flavour to it as well. continue reading

This strawberry cake is from Glace and their prices range abour $5 and above. Therefore you can assume that their quality of cakes are super good those kind. As for this cake, there are soft sponge cake on the top and bottom, whereas for the middle part is the light sweet cream with some cut freshed strawberries. There are also some chocolate and half of the strawberry as topping! looks nice, but for the taste is alright only.. continue reading

Seems like many people have actually blogged about this up and coming patisserie hidden at the corner of the Notorious Keong Saik Road, Craig Road and Neil Road intersection within Chinatown Plaza - a rather dilapidated private apartment of sorts. Helmed by Master Chef Yamashita who hails from Nara, Japan, this tiny patisserie has been garnering rave reviews in the media and blogosphere alike.Banana Mille-Feuille - I thought that the mille feuille was a great way to start off as it was light and crisp due to the layer of puff pastry thats sandwiched in between layers of chocolate mousse, sponge and bananas. The chocolate mousse itself was very well balanced and didn't threaten to overwhelm.Strawberry Hill - Topped with sliced strawberries on layers of light and fluffy sponge sandwiching fresh cream on a wholesome oven baked tart base, the strawberry hill was sublimely good. What's interesting about this cake is that the name really suits it! The cake gets substantially more dense towards the bottom, very much like a hill, where the soil is looser at the top and gradually becomes more compact towards the bottom.Strawberry Soufflé - The pièce de résistance. Dense yet light on the palate with a tinge of lemony zest and topped with strawberries. Its probably one of the best cheesecakes I've eaten in a long long while. continue reading

First time trying cakes from glace;DMy cousin had bought the Strawberry Soufflé for celebration of our aunts and cousin birthday.(:It tastes a little like the cheese cakes, with a layer of cheese-like cream in the middle. Even though I dislike having cheesecake, I love eating this cake despite of it tasting a little like cheese cakes;DThe moment I first saw this cake, I was ‘wow-ing’ at the amount of strawberries they have on top of the cake, it was really a lot. As seen in the picture, the strawberries have totally covered every part of the cake surface;DWith so many of us being a strawberry lover…we love the strawberry Soufflé to the max!^^Focusing on the taste itself, it was fresh and the cake layer within was soft and spongy.(:The cream was not that kind that will make us get tired of eating. If there are any left that night, I will surely ask for another slice.Too good to resist, will definitely return for it, maybe trying out other cake choices they have there.(: continue reading
