Brought a Very Berry Deluxe cake from Glace Patisserie in celebration of my mother's birthday. Design wise is quite appealing with the various berries decoration on the top of the cake as well as the ribbon on the side. The cake is formed by two layers of sponge cake with strawberry chunk with cream in between. Texture wise is soft and spongy and has a nice aroma. A total of 3 different types of berries is used which include strawberry, raspberry and blueberry. The berries were very fresh and it goes very well with the sponge cake. Will definitely recommend to my friends !!

In the sleepy Icon Village building lies a quaint bakery/confectionery named Patisserie Glace. As the shop space is very small, there is actually no space for you to sit around to enjoy their products. However, I don't think this bothers its customers too much since its baked goods are usually in small packages and can be easily picked up and brought back to the office as a post-lunch/teatime treat. It was by chance that I walked past this bakery and I was tempted by the very delicious-looking baked goods. During a recent visit in June, I picked up the original flavour financier and chocolate madeleine which were simply among the best I've tasted. On most occasions, the financiers I tasted had strong buttery tastes or the texture didn't impress me. Glace's version had the right taste and texture (at least to me). The madeleine also did well because its chocolate taste wasn't too overwhelming and it had the right amount of moisture. I usually have to drink tea while eating madeleines because they tend to be rather dry but I can eat Glace's version on its own.I haven't had the opportunity to try their sliced or whole cakes though but it sure looks appealing through the glass showcases.

Someone bought these tarts for me and only 2 flavour - original and chocolate from Pâtisserie Glacé. Their aim is to bring in best of Japan's cake, pies, tarts and cookies to Singapore. Their concept is about the same as Flor Pâtisserie and Glacé serve Mont Blanc too so I shall try it next time! The Tart was good! The cheese was very rich just like eating a cheese cake with a tart base and can freeze it and kept for like weeks for it! There were total of 14 flavours of tarts available and each tart costs $3.20.

On the way to lesson, I pass by this cake shop. The cakes all look so mouth watering. I should not have buying any as I will not have place to keep them cool, while having lesson. But I give way to have 2 pieces.Fromage Syun ($5.60)Delicious low-fat cheese on a fragrant tart base.It is light in flavour, which is typical of Japanese cheesecake. It is a light blend of cream cheese, on a soft biscuit base. Tastes creamy and smooth, and it is best enjoyed chilled. Tiramisu Earl Grey ($5.40)Using Earl Grey paste from Japan, this has a nice fragrance with just the right amount of sweetness. With a sprinkling cinnamon on top and a wedge of delicious pie sheet. Very moist and deep taste of Earl Grey. There is a After 6 Special, which means there is 20% discount on all slices of fresh short cakes Monday - Friday from 6pm to 7pm or when all cakes are sold out, whichever is sooner at Icon Village outlet. I am lucky to catch this promotion. Total $8.80 for 2 pieces of cakes. Great deal.

This shop has been my no.1 choice whenever i crave for light cream cakes. Their cakes never fails to give me a sense of blissfulness whenever i savour them. Below is one of their signature cake-strawberry souffle. It is basically a light japanese cheesecake sandwiched between soft sponge cake, interlayered with fresh cream, and topped with juicy strawberries. The different layer blend so well it gives the cake a much more satisfying 'ohm!' then just a simple piece of light japanese cheesecake. Below is the strawberry shortcake, featuring fresh cream and strawberry sandwiched between 2 light sponge cake. This is a really refreshing light cake! This cake shop sells visually appealing cakes that are real tasty! Recommended!
