Have been patronizing this stall for almost 15 years. Taste have not change a single bit, Soup have a rich traditional flavor, with a huge portion of prawn and fishcake to compliment the noodles. Comes in both soup and dry, personally prfer the soup base as it brings out the prawn flavour in the noodle.  Hawkers were super friendly. All this for the price of just $2.5 !?  Simply cant find anything similar for the price. Its valued for price #traditional #value #ghimmoh #prawnmee

I just had *Tong Fong Fatt Chicken Rice* the other day at *Block 16, Bedok South Hawker Centre*. The taste is a far cry from what it was 6/7 years ago; it used to taste delicious but now it’s horrible! *The rice is half-cooked* and you cannot taste the fragrance of chicken stock; it’s as if they are just serving plain rice! The *price of the chicken rice for the exact same portion varies*, as if it were at the stock exchange; for the same portion, sometimes it costs twice as much. The service is just as bad; especially so by the *tall, bald gentleman “chopping the chicken”*. He often *cusses at his colleagues*, using *all sorts of dialect expletives*, it’s really embarrassing for them and for us (customers), especially when we have children in tow. If he is the one taking order, I would be more careful not to ”customise” my meal because he’s *impatient* and would definitely give me earful if I am “slow” to order. His bad attitude is made worse during Horse Racing Days whereby he would be in a foul mood for being “disturbed” from his horse-racing activities and meal portions will either be halved or *charged at an even more expensive price*! Overall, the standard of this stall has dropped tremendously and I would give it a miss, as do many customers. I remember I used to have to queue up to be served but now the queue is either non-existent or very much shorter. *Thumbs down Tong Fong Fatt Chicken Rice*

Five oars coffee roaster [singapore] // A cafe with lots of instagrammable spots! I ordered a french toast and a cup of latte and sat there for several hours! Highly recommend this cafe if u get a chance to fly to visit Singapore! The cafe has a very nice environment including both indoor and outdoor The french toast is crispy outside and soft inside

This place is a typical local hole-in-wall place but lunch was packed, seatings next to each other. We ordered a chicken rice set to share but it is actually very small size, the tofu with crab meat is good but I think Singapore likes its dishes very ‘starchy’ as the gravy is very thick. The prices are not very cheap for the kind of venue....

This is recommended by our friends who live in SG, we had a drink first at Aura which is on the top floor of the National Gallery & the view of MBS area is beautiful. Violet Oon is a beautiful restaurant with great decor, delicious food & good service! It is perfect if you need to entertain or have a small group of friends for dinner. We had the chicken coronation but it is almost just a bite size, too little to share. Beef redang is excellent & tender, dry laksa was delicious. However overall the dish sizes are rather small so we have to order all over again for extra main & apertisers. Overall it is a very nice restaurant, will be back!

落機第一餐食這碗啦沙😆 分量比較少，只能適合女生吃🙈 一碗小小的麵包含了蠔和魚片，十分足料 味道方面不錯，不是太辣，一碗啦沙才3元坡紙，性價比十分高，值得一試。 最細心的是辣椒醬放在旁邊，喜歡吃辣的人可以放，不喜歡的話可以不放，如果不放辣，也十分好吃。 環境方面，因為在熟食市場內吃，所以十分易找到位置

The service was terrible. Out of the 4 waiters and waitresses that served us, only one was pleasant. When my mum asked if a door in the restaurant led to the toilet, the waiter replied in disdain that it was a VIP room, embarrassing her. The door was plain and nondescript. Who would have guessed it led to a VIP room. When I asked for extra bowls to share the noodles, the waitress looked annoyed and agreed after some thought to bring us...one. The food is substandard. The slice of salmon on the sushi was paper thin. The baked rice was lukewarm and the rice tasted like cold, leftover rice. Considering the quality of service and food, it was overpriced. Way overpriced.

we went to whampoa hawker centre at 6pm on 6.9.2014.

my sis came here to take her favourite fish soup at hoover fish porridge. she ordered 1 bowl of sliced fish soup & 1 bowl of fish head soup, S$12 including 2 bowls of rice. the sliced fish soup was sweeter & ok amount of fish. i usually liked fish head but the quantity was quite small & not so much meat vs bones.
we also ordered pig trotters & fish maw soup from another stall 幸福潮州小食.

dinner for 3pax came to S$21.50, so about S$7pax, quite ok.

i want to come back again!

As normal Singaporeans do, this one was always with a long queue when it first opened.  Now the hype is over, we finally tried the first time.   We ordered a creamy cheeseburger, chicken burger and fish burger, set with curly fries and root beer float.
I must say, I am completely surprised by the so-so standard of the food (and why people will queue up in the first beginning).
The first deadly sin is - my beef burger is COLD, okay if not cold, then room temperature.    Well we did wait for 5-10 min to get the food, and I thought it was meant to be freshly made.   I can only say all the burgers are nothing worth to try again, or to recommend.  The curly fries are crispy, but that's all.  Root beer is the signature, so I will say is okay. Overall, this only worth to try for one time only.  

I am a very picky Japanese food lover.  I admire the Japanese devoted way of cooking, and only serving one and only one cuisine, not sushi, tongatsu, ramen all over the places but just one type, their competent type.  I like this devotion, and it gives me confidence. Tempura was claimed to be the most difficult cuisine in Japan.   Tenjin only have a few selections, but the quality of the ingredients, and the price value of the menu are so good that this is simply the best I've tried in Singapore.  Highly recommended.  

As one from HK, of course, I can have a 'better' comment on Cantonese Dim Sum restaurant.  Even I am from HK, I never tried Tim Ho Wan for one simple reason - it used to be a small shop and now expanding crazy and also regionally (to Taipei, Singapore).   This is also a sign of deterioriating quality against the speed of expansion.  To my surprise, there are a lot of positive reviews but I can only say from my first try, it is definitely just so-so Dim Sum, there are much more better Dim Sum shops in HK, well, maybe Dim Sum is a considered a rare specialty in Singapore so people just ranked them high.  Sorry, it is just plain so-so.  The portion is small, the taste is plain, the fried rice is not HK style (it added with a bit of garlic).   I understand the need of localization but I am a fan of respecting authentic and traditional recipe so sorry, this is not my restaurant and I will not come back again.  

🌷水粿🌷：香港好似真係冇。。好得意呀。。佢應該就好似我哋朝早食腸粉一樣的小食。最少要買五個，幾驚食唔晒呀。 首先沒有多餘食具。。就是把水粿放在紙上。。唔用碟直接放係盤上。。on the tray 呀😓😲..係我少見多怪啫。。好欣賞👍..講返水粿，質感有d 似蒸蘿蔔糕，圓圓的好可愛💗。 個醬唔係甜醬咁間單，甜甜少少醬油香。。精華是裡面有碎碎炒香咗嘅梅菜。。風味超讚👍👍🙀🙀😍😍。最後。。記住用🥄食。。我就是沒有😅😅。

Tiong bahru food market.中峇魯真是一個寶👍💯。 今天一早又去食，行一圈揀咗這間一早要排隊但老闆娘對每個客人大聲說“謝謝” 的🌷閩南蝦面檔🌷。點了個3蚊的干撈面🉐， 好彩落咗大量辣椒😅其實是跟住前面的當地人做，真係增添風味咖。 d 面好彈牙撈咗d汁唔太杰但超鮮味，🦐🦐魚蛋點知仲有2塊超好味炸魚🐟，簡直有d喜出望外。
