On 23 and 24 February 2013, renowned Chefs from around the world will be in Singapore for Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. For this two-day event, attendees can look forward to events which brings a delicious mix of spicy exchanges, full-bodied flavours, and a hearty dose of star power,
Guests will also have the once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from culinary masters like as Joan Roca, Ben Shewry, Yoshihiro Narisawa and Björn Frantzén. They will be participating in an all-day forum on the first day and a series of workshops the next day.

Available all day, the whole meal takes you on a roller coaster ride with the different textures and flavours you’ll get to savour - from the rich and creamy Veloute of Green Pea to the full flavoured Grilled Cajun-spiced Chicken.3. Be dazzled by new menu offerings at Absinthe, located along the bustling Boat Quay. Updated every three months, the ala carte menu is updated every three months and this time, Chef Francois brings you fresh creations like Saint Jacques, a delightful medley of seared Hokkaido scallops with lemon thyme, Foie Gras Terrine and the oh so delicate Madeleines that are freshly baked-to-order.
4. Artichoke Gelato, Anyone?
Mention Rome to a foodie and one of the first things that will come to mind – Gelato. Usually seen as a saviour to the scorching summer’s heat, more and more top artisanal Gelato producers in Italy have turned to savoury flavours like artichoke and tomato-basil! Talk about the use of all-natural ingredients. So if Rome’s a travel destination for you in 2014, you might want to look out for these unconventional treats! Some places include Vice, Gelateria Fatamorgana and Gelateria del Teatro.
